Oh relax. Young children should not be exposed to this and you know it. Nothings banned.

But it'a perfectly fine to expose a young child to a mass school shooting, or force a 12 year to deliver a child.
Typical progressive conflation of topics. Focus. These issues have nothing to do with each other.

Typical conservative deflection. You can't logically answer the question, and proves what pathetic hypocrites you are.
First. I'm a liberal Democrat. Second, what question?

I hate to break this to you, but you are not a liberal Democrat.

A man wearing a wig and a skirt tells you he's a woman and you're happy to believe him but a man who isn't woke and insane tells you he's a liberal Democrat and you don't? This is progressivism in 2023 folks.

No. I am an old school liberal Democrat. Not a huge fan of the trans push and pronoun obsession.

But what you are proposing is censorship plain and simple. Screaming it's "porn" doesn't make it so.

Calling it censorship is simply ridiculous. I'm asking for slightly better curation that would exclude sexually explicit material from school libraries. I'm not asking for a ban. If you were more liberal (like me) you would see the nuance rather than promoting the woke position.

The reason we know you aren't sincere is you keep yakking about Penthouse and GenderQueer, but we see that in Florida, books that have been in libraries for decades are being pulled out of schools and deemed illicit sexual content.

And I would rather see GenderQueer in the library than see Judy Blume pulled out of the library.

DP. I addition, you and your ilk are also going after more than just your "porn" books. Your type are also targeting works like biographies of Harriett Tubman, Malala Yousafzai, Ruby Bridges, Rosa Parks, etc. Or books that might dare to have gay people or families as characters. Anything that doesn't show a straight, white, Christian point of view appears to be fair game.
I'm a straight white Christian, but we live in a diverse community, and my young DDs have friends who look and believe very differently from our family. Why should those children not be able to walk into our elementary school library and see books that reflect themselves, as well?

In general, your "ilk" (i.e., those trying to ban books from school libraries) are going after FAR more than just "porn" (or I guess just gay porn in your case, since thats what you stated). You should read up on some of the lists for banned books in Florida, Texas, even in our own backyard. They aren't just stopping with Gender Queer.

Why are you so afraid of gay and trans people?

From the earliest ages I read books about all different types of people and situations. It informed me but never changed my morals or actions, just broadened my horizons.

So you have literally no idea what you're talking about, what books are being stripped from schools, but the shiny object of alleged gay "porn" caught your attention.

Why isn't Penthouse available in school libraries?

You and your hypocritical mom group are apparently the kind of ignorant backwoods people who call a magazine a "book." Penthouse is a magazine. We are talking about books. Is Penthouse even published anymore?

I don’t understand the outrage. If you want to read any book, there are many places to access free books. No one is suggesting these books are banned everywhere. No author is being dragged out to the street to be tarred and feathered. Most people are just asking that there be some consideration to age-appropriate materials.
Why do we have G, PG and R rated movies? It is so that some content is restricted from children.
I use common sense media a lot to determine what I wanted DC to see and not see based on age appropriate psychosocial development. I feel like most good parents do this.

Nope. Many students do NOT have access to
Free books. Many students don’t have parents who will take them to a library or have the technology to read digitally.
They need to be available for all students. Removing books students previously had access to is banning. Plain and simple.

Librarians already screen for age appropriate material in libraries.
