WTOP says just a few inches. My mom called to warn me she heard (she's out of state) that our region may get up to a foot! Have you heard anything about it?
Whatever will we do - so many grocery stores are closed today. How will I get my gross of toilet paper
|
| Read we could get up to 5 inches. |
Yes, that's whatbthe NWS said this morning. |
| I swear this snow forecast has changed every other minute for the last five days. Who knows what to believe? Grumble. |
Even better map that Dave Tolleris has posted on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?fbid=155827797797820&set=a.148807335166533.25889.129478830432717 |
Did anyone look at that wxrisk report? If so can you tell me in one sentence what he is predicting? I don't have time to wade through it today. |
6" to 8" for DC |
| We're supposed to drive north from DC to upstate NY tomorrow on I-95. What do you think the roads will be like? Am trying to decide if it's better to leave tonight. |
You probably do not want to be on the roads northbound anytime after late morning tomorrow. |

I am above Gaithersburg, and it started snowing here at about 8:00am. I read the area should get 5 inches.

The snow today has nothing to do with the snow tomorrow - different storm entirely.
The weather advisory says 5+ inches. There is a 30% chance the storm could miss us completely and hit south of us. RUN TO GET MILK AND TOILET PAPER!!!! And fill up your car with gas. . . you never know when you'll have to move into your cars for days and days. |

I HATE snow in D.C. They freak out like its the end of the f*cking world. In other places, they band together and help each other. That is what it is about. Imagine. |
Do you really think so? I figured onec I get into New York State the highways should be OK -- they have snow plows and other equipment up there, don't they? I mean this isn't a blizzard -- it's a snow storm. |
If you plan to be driving in the snow, it's always a good idea to have more than half a tank of gas. If you think it's going to be so bda that you will be living in your car -- stay home.
