USYS (not the Individual clubs) brought in 20’ in latest filings available. ECNL Girls and Boys brought in ~13M with far fewer clubs….

Splitting hairs here. Nonprofits can't be bought. Their assets can but that's not really they same thing here. They can still merge of course.

A) buy out the various leagues (and get rid of Rory and Rod and any other bad actor in the process)

B) Combine all the various leagues into true English relegation structure

C) Build half a dozen facilities across the country like what they have down in AZ.

D) Fund refereeing training and strata so there is more consistency

E) Pull true academies away from MLS and have them governed with consistency but give the MLS and NWLS the fees for those in their geographic locations.

Are you seriously talking about the Barca facility in Casa Grande? What a spithole. Its in the middle of nowhere south of Phoenix and north of Tuscon. It used to be the San Francisco Giants summer training facilities.

Play one or two grade lower, or play against players more than 12 months younger. Playing down is shameful IMHO.

Everybody has opinions but classifying everybody above freshmen in HS or college and second year players in U19 as shameful is shameful.

He is talking about playing down in p2p club soccer and you are changing the topic to school sports in order to give a punch, typical liberal dimwit.

Unfortunately, grades aren't a P2P club thing, there are for school soccer and sometimes rec.

A Junior or even a Sophomore will not play down in the Frosh team with Freshmen. It is a dignity issue. My kid would rather do pickup if he can not make the JV team as a Sophomore this year. For a Freshman who plays with Juniors in the JV team, he is playing up, not the Juniors playing down in his own team. The same applies to clubs; if your kid plays down in a team with players who are one or two grades lower or more than 12 months younger, you are playing down and should feel ashamed of yourself.

So a question to the people that say a kid is playing down if they are sept birthdays but started school on time. 1 kid started school on time is late Sept Birthday and is on grade level. The other is a few weeks older but parents started kid late so is 1 grade lower. So according to the logic here the kid that went to school on time is going to be playing down but the older kid who is a grade lower isnt? All they are doing is moving the cut off by 5 months no one is playing down if they fall within that 12 month period.

This makes no sense. Club soccer rules don't allow playing down, except for biobanding which is rare. And you can only play grades lower in school soccer because club soccer doesn't have grades, it is based on age.

Not judgemental at all. Sometimes some kids just dont have what it takes to play sports. Playing down wont change anything other than taking a spot from a kid that can actually compete against players their age.
