None of that is peacefully protesting. They deserve to be arrested.

It’s shocking to me that our Supreme Court is currently mulling over a case that could criminalize homeless people for simply sitting or sleeping on the street yet these privileged Americans can wreak havoc, damage property, and directly impact others without consequence.

I am baffled as to why Americans are centering themselves in this war…so “American” to make it about themselves.

Embarrassing.

Maybe because America bankrolls the Israeli killing machine and Israel has made it clear they’ll pull every lever at their disposal to stifle any domestic criticism here. Since Israel destroyed every university in Gaza, it’s no surprise students in America with any conscience felt obligated to speak up against the Jewish murderers.

I get that.

But what I don’t get is how protesters can fixate on just one thing (war/killing of innocents) without recognizing the complexity of the situation (a terrorist government fueled by religious extremism hell bent on the destruction of Israel, Jews, America, the West, and everyone who doesn’t adhere to their wacky breed of religious extremism.

Practically speaking, what happens if Israel withdraws its troops and Netanyahu peaces out?

Billions would be pumped into Gaza for humanitarian aid and rebuilding and Hamas would claim victory, divert funds to rebuild tunnels and secure more weapons, and the terror would continue in Gaza and Israel.

If anyone thinks there is a simple solution you aren’t grasping the reality of the situation and the players.

Its actually pretty simple. Palestinians are willing to live with Israelis in a single state, and Israelis are not willing to live with Palestinians in a single state. If Israel grants full rights to Palestinians, all this conflict ends in a generation.

I’m not sure that’s the end game for Hamas or Palestinians, but I’ll take your word for it for the sake of dialogue.

Then let Israel root out Hamas, rebuild a beautiful new civilization that is part of Israel and adheres to the Israeli government’s laws, and zero exceptions allowing people to opt out of adhering to civil rights/human rights based on religion/culture.

If the Palestinians can assimilate and embrace Israel, then that would be amazing.

I just don’t see that happening what with the whole “death to Israel” thing.

I thought they wanted their own state that essentially pushes Israel out of existence? And then onward to the entire West?

+1 and that’s my whole issue with these protests. Yes the Israeli government should stop the indiscriminate bombings. Yes they should have never started to build/annex “settlements” in the Palestinian land. So they stop doing that and then what? Would the Palestinians accept living under Israeli rule in a secular democracy if it meant having full rights? What would the international community think about Hamas members and sympathizers being granted a full Israeli passport? Or we have a two state solution, Israel gives up some of its land … does that stop the Palestinian attacks on Israeli territory? That also creates a new country which would immediately be amongst the poorest in the Middle East and a puppet state of Iran, and ask the governments of Egypt and Jordan how they feel about that.

The students are like the “no nuclear power” environmental protesters—largely well intentioned, but incredibly naive.

Do they think Palestine is like a giant gay bar/drag brunch? So confused.

It's very confusing. Also they think not getting meals delivered to them while they are taking over a building constitutes a humanitarian crisis.

Their demand for a meal plan. Serious bunch.

Israel has been on a meal plan for 80 years. A failure to launch by all definitions.

So has most of Western Europe. Can we stop defending them from the Big Bad Russia now?

These are the acts of America’n heroes that we celebrate on Federal holidays.

A Tennessee court just found six protesters guilty and they face up to 11 years in jail for protesting at an abortion clinic and blocking access. Would you add “taking over an abortion center” to this list?

Americans, over centuries have created the list, not me. Civil disobedience is the cornerstone of a free and just world.

These students cause is as righteous as it gets.

Civil disobedience is equally the protestors who disrupted the UCLA camp.

Breaking into private property is as righteous as it gets? Go back to your Al quaida cell.

Video from UCLA last night of a pro-Palestinian protester dragged by his hair and beaten with sticks by the counter-protester mob. Sickening.

You might want to pick up a history book. Alas, I am afraid you are too illiterate to read.

Yeah, that's bad.

When schools say that the encampments are unsafe for everyone, protestors and everyone else alike, did you think they were lying? Was that a pretext? It was accurate.

Well intentioned up to a point. I think when they're chanting "intifada everywhere" it might be time to stop giving many the benefit of the doubt.

Did I misunderstand what was happening? A lone pro-Palestinian protestor yelled at counter-protestors, threw an orange cone at them, and then was mobbed? Yeah, the protestors and counter-protestors all need to go. They are no longer students, just mobs. Go home, fail your classes. Do better in the future.

Isn’t it finals season? Don’t these people have finals to study for?

I’m only 31 and these people make me feel old AF; not looking forward to working with them.

Yeah, you misunderstood. The counter protesters were telling and he threw the cone back after they tried to blindside him with it. They then attacked him like effing animals, because, well, that’s Zionism in a nutshell.
