IMO, 9 months of development (one season) is a BIG deal. Soccers players reach there prime, what around 25-30 years old? -Kids start they're training around 4-5 years of age and continue those basic fundamentals until they are 17-18yrs. -9 months of training account for 7 percent of there development before they reach 18 years old. One bad season or coach can be crucial in that development. -Think about your personal time if you no longer had 7 percent of that anymore.bWhat would that look like? When you say not a big deal, time and money is important, especially if it turns into sunk costs $$$ into a service or club thats not delivering. |
That's so incredibly stupid. You are talking about playing 8 games one division lower than ideal in a local low level travel league. |
Thanks for fact that its a lower level travel league. I’m sure they appreciate that. |
NCSL division 5 is the definition of a lower level travel league. |
you could even argue that the boost in confidence far outweighs any negligible difference in development. |
. No not really.. big difference in talent between teams. Core 11 girls are good. Big difference between Pre ECNL and Div 5 NCSL. |
2010 |
Y'all are nuts. You think kids are going to get scholarships and play pro soccer because they did Valor? Really? REALLY? Bwahahahahaha. Good luck with that. |
Valor is literally a rec team at travel prices |
Valor has a team playing in the state Cup final tomorrow. It’s only one age group, but they do have the best team in the state. |
You do realize that the ECNL and MLS Next teams forgo the State Cup, right? As do top teams at many other clubs. |
True. Any team at a certain age group can enter, right? |
You read my mind. |
They just cycle the kids up and create as many teams as possible until they can’t fill a roster. Its laughable. |
Agree, Pre-Ecnl Ive seen in the upper divisions 1-4. Anything, lower normally 3rd thru 5th teams. Good luck to the new parents. |
