Feedback on VLC Club Lacrosse?

Nothing informative but humorously entertaining to read a lax mom who is way too involved. If you really were not tied to the club how could a person be this knowledgeable of one team and worried about a player not getting enough playing time?? I am glad DCUM is providing and outlet for you to finally feel like you got your money’s worth from your dual major journalism and gender studies liberal arts degree.

I was at Crabfeast this year. There were recruiters from Maryland, Notre Dame, Army, etc. So the tourney obviously still has some pull with them.

Your concerns about the VLC 2025 team have been explained in more detail than any grounded person would want to read, let alone write. Time will tell if the new coach is able to right the ship. Has it occurred to you that the dialogue is now more about you than about the team itself? You really should move on.

I am not the author of the long posts explaining those concerns in detail. I did write that post saying that accusing the long poster of sock puppetry is dumb.

It will never not be true that for three years, that team was poorly coached, and DiCo and Z didn’t do shit to fix it except replace a poor coach with an even worse one. The long poster, and any other parents from that team, are perfectly within their rights to describe this bad experience in this forum, even after their kids have moved on to other teams. No, it’s not “about them”, it is about VLC and its lack of effective management in this case. If you provide poor service to your customers, you have to expect that those customers will warn other potential customers about you.

Bingo. The team is not all of the sudden going get Lax IQ or stop bad decision making all of the sudden. It looks like not much turnover on the team so unless this coach is going to sit the player(s) for not playing the game correctly. Things are not going to change even if you cut a kid or two. Fogo is gone as so getting possessions will be even more important and valuing the ball. Good luck!

Bingo is clearly responding to your own information. Not much turnover = your are staying on another year. “Unless the team is going to sit players...” is what you are trying to accomplish. All about getting you kid more PT don’t fool yourself that is what all of this is about. Finally not one person reading this thread believes you are not a current VLC parent.

Crazy VLC 2025 mom can bash the team all she wants but the ‘23 class is getting ready to have a very strong recruiting class. ‘24 is strong as well. Madlax will be the top in the area but it will be a far cry from the weak coaching that VLC mom keeps blabbering about.

Madlax 2025 had some talent leave and only picked up 1 Green Turtle kid. Unless those National Team kids plan to fly in I’m not sure they’ll be at the top.
