BLC to ML - zero
NL to ML - 1
NL to DCE - 1
VLC to ML - zero
VLC to DCE - 1
ML to DCE - 1
ML to NL - zero
ML to VLC - 1

This is incorrect. Don’t post this drivel when you don’t have a clue.

BLC to ML - zero
NL to ML - 1 Goalie
NL to DCE - 1 ?
VLC to ML - zero
VLC to DCE - 1 FOGO
ML to DCE - 1 Attack
ML to NL - zero
ML to VLC - 1 Goalie

your turn?

Calm down ladies. All of this info are half truths, but not drivel or totally clueless. Keep in mind that the question was both 2025 and 2026, and the answers seem to combine or confuse the two age groups. And some of the best players have not yet paid and registered for their team, which means they are still in play. So if you want hard truth wait until September. But if you enjoy reading anonymous rumor like I do, you have come to the right place - keep it coming!

Here is my turn for 2026. Doesn’t matter what VLC, DCE, NL added or lost. Best teams in the area will still be Crabs, Hawks and Madlax and it’s not even close.

Really? Let’s see.
Hawks - yes
Crabs - yes but it’s mostly holdbacks
MadLax - nice try

I was also confused about the numbers. These guys missed a couple in 2025.

DCE-NL 1
DCE(2025)-ML(2026) 1
VLC-FCA 1
Crabs-DCE 2

Unless any of these kids play for Yorktown they won't be a factor wherever they go.

“ First, recognize that you’re paying for tournaments and game time for your son, not lacrosse coaching. Contrary to what you may be told, there aren’t special tournaments available to VLC that aren’t available to other travel teams - their dollars are just as green. ”

This is from/to the mom that keeps posting the novels on here about VLC. This is just not true. As a parent on a HS team the event’s chosen matter. Literally hundreds of coaches attended the top events this summer like NAL NLF Crabfeast Naptown etc. top coaches can’t also go to aloha events or Leesburg. There is a limited number of fields and officials. These events do not just take any team that registers. Madlax, Next Level, and VLC amount others do get an advantage over the less competitive clubs. The older clubs success makes this possible. The fact that you are also unhappy about playing time tells readers all we need to know about your personal issue with this club

I am not "long post PP" but my son is on that team. What "long post PP" said about playing time was absolutely true. It was impossible to understand why some boys were starters and other were not. There were some smaller, less-skilled players who were starters, and some big skillful players who got little or no playing time. Two of the players who quit were big guys and good players who were "reserves" who rarely got subbed in, and I have no idea why they never played. And as the PP said, there was no level of effort the reserves could do to earn a starter spot, and no level of laziness / poor performance the starters could exhibit on a game or at practice to get demoted. For all practical purposes, that team consisted only of eleven kids, which had obvious negative effects at tournaments when the starters were tired but the coach never put new guys in. I am hopeful that the new coach won't be like that.

when was the last time vlc ever attend naptown and its local right? teams nobody has heard of attend crabfeast and do as well or better. college coaches should be paying close attention as vlc doesnt put up many points.

Perhaps more established clubs get a little more attention in tournament brackets, but isn’t that just really living on your former reputation?

Have you seen the:

- game ended by a VLC player initiating a fight
- VLC FOGO running in a circle for a full minute while being stick-checked like a rented mule
- VLC attackman drawing a ward penalty while playing EMO (i.e. man-up)?

Let’s cross our fingers that college scouts weren’t watching then.

Minnesota has like nine months of winter and three months of poor sledding, yet somehow managed an invite to Crabfeast. How lucky! Do you remember who won that game with VLC (helpful hint: rhymes with Minnesota)? Some VLC players decided to opt out of tournaments, because they lost faith in the coaching and the VLC lacrosse experience. Maybe that’s the playing time objection that tells readers all they need to know about issues with the club.

Might I suggest that coaching fundamentally sound lacrosse might help with:

- winning games
- garnishing attention from college coaches
- keeping kids in the sport?

I hope the new and recycled VLC coaching staff is up for this challenge. If not, I hope that college coaches never see what many of us saw this past season.

I have no dog in this fight at 2025 but I absolutely chuckled, well done good sir!

As the anonymous author of the "long PP" and minor follow up contributions: let me first clarify that my name is not "Mark" and I'm not a "VLC Dad". Beyond that, I'm not interested in playing guessing games or trading insults.

I would like to genuinely thank the readers who read my posts and offered validating comments, personal experiences, and thoughtful assessments. I would also like to thank the readers who respectfully shared their perspectives that were different from mine. It shows that you care about the sport. It shows that you're willing to share your experiences with other lacrosse families who may have limited or zero exposure to travel lacrosse. Either way, it's for the benefit of people that you may never meet in person.

For the folks who could only offer dismissive comments and speculative insults, I remind you that the title of this thread is "Feedback on VLC Club Lacrosse?". This is a public forum, not a fan club or VLC owned communication platform. You're under no obligation to read/comment/endorse any post here.

Before authoring a future post (or flame) to this forum, you might consider how it connects to the public VLC mission statement (bold emphasis is mine):

“It is our goal to provide an exceptional lacrosse experience for our student athletes. We will field one team per age group and provide top notch coaching for that team. Our mission is simple: to provide our high school players with the opportunity to compete in lacrosse tournaments held throughout the country during the summer and fall in an effort to improve our ability to play the game and promote fellowship and camaraderie among our players and their families.

Experienced and proven coaching will be the cornerstone of the VLC. Lifelong friendships between players and parents from the many different schools and communities from which our teams are comprised is the true benefit of the club lacrosse experience."

If you think the current VLC product matches the mission statement perfectly, then by all means share why you feel this enthusiasm. However, if others see a distinct MISMATCH or sizeable gap with this public mission statement, it's ENTIRELY FAIR to call that out.

Details and specifics will go a long way to help others appreciate your facts, opinions, and experiences. I acknowledge that this could require more than composing 3 sentences. I have a liberal arts degree. Reading, writing and critical analysis are not difficult tasks for me. I'm sensing that it's far more taxing for some people. Please remember that for many other families, travel lacrosse is an important investment for their future. I think they deserve to hear the whole story, without censorship. I wish you all the best.

The time Cabell Maddux (MadLax) and Joe High (TRW Wolfpack) spend bashing VLC on DC Urban Mom and Back of the Cage is astonishing, disturbing and quite frankly, embarrassing.

Take all of these derogatory posts with a grain of salt, people.

You are not a VLC dad that may be correct VLC mom. But you are often replying to your own posts. Nothing informative but humorously entertaining to read a lax mom who is way too involved. If you really were not tied to the club how could a person be this knowledgeable of one team and worried about a player not getting enough playing time?? I am glad DCUM is providing and outlet for you to finally feel like you got your money’s worth from your dual major journalism and gender studies liberal arts degree.
