Josh Duggar arrested and in federal custody

I have a question about max sentencing. Both counts have a 20 year max. Does that mean, if convicted, he could serve 20 or 40?

I’m not that familiar with fed sentencing, other than you serve all the time given, and parole isn’t a thing.

Considering she abandoned her kids for six months pre-trial to move in with Josh who was living in another couple as his halfway house...I'm going to say no.

Hold up. So this whole time I've been reading about the raid on the office at the car lot, I've been picturing a proper office at a normal car lot.

I was so, so wrong.

THIS is the office? That itty bitty thing that is hardly bigger than my kid's old play house in our backyard?!

Oh, he's so ducked. There's NO way two people could be in that sized structure with one of them downloading CP without the other seeing it. And all the supporting evidence places Josh at the location on the days in question!

Maybe she’ll glom onto a sucker and continue procreating.

Jim Bob. For the good of the family

I think they're going to base the entire defense on someone being able to do these downloads remotely, but I don't know how they can support those claims when he was texting his wife that he was at the car lot and stayed late one evening to FINISH HIS DOWNLOAD.

Google is telling me this is up to the judge per a federal statute.

Yep. She wanted to fully support him and to do that, she needed to be with him fulltime, but of course, he can't be around his kids like that. So she left the kids and moved in with him.

I was kind of Team Anna for a bit until she did this. Now I'm Team Fk all the Duggars.

I didn't know that either. She's a long lost cause.

Any criminal defense attorneys here concerned about the prior acts coming in at trial? The court's order on this seemed well reasoned and carefully researched, but I wonder whether it could be grounds for an appeal.

This is what the classic incest mother or abused wife does...they choose and side with the husband over the children. They are repulsive in that way because being abandoned by their partner is the very worst of their imagined fates.

Yeah I think concurrent vs. consecutive is always up to the judge.

Who watched the kids? Did the kids move in with the grandparents?
