Look at Landon 2017, SJC 2023 - these teams had elite fogos and very good keepers between the pipes.

This year. GZ in my eyes has the best fogo in the area and a good goalie (not elite). The eagles will be a very tough out for any team in the WCAC as a result of this.

This sounds a lot like a moral victory statement considering they've already lost to Bullis and GP. 5 of the next 6 will test the Eagles.

please work on your reading comprehension before replying to posts so as to not waste everyones time.

Dcum dopey comeback again. What offends you snowflake? The post reads like GZ has a superstar at both positions and is comparing a 5 loss team to 2 of the best. Purple will have a tough time going.500 so I guess being a “tough out” is your moral victory.

I suggest you seek help. You are a bit unhinged. Maybe focus more on self development.

another snappy dcum comeback.

1. Bullis
2. Landon
3. DeMatha
4. Prep
5. Gonzaga
6. SJC
7. GC
8. EHS
9. PVI
10. The Heights

I believe there is a pretty big drop off in play after Bullis and Landon

Bullis beat GZ by 1 at home. Prep is finding their stride. Landon's had some good wins but has not been tested locally.

While Landon is 10-1, the Bears haven't been tested by any local teams yet.

Their best wins for the year are MSJ and Benjamin.

We will find out next week how good Landon is as they have GZ and Bullis.

What is the relevance of tested locally vs the quality of opponents? Not trying to be provocative, just noting that locally, there's not much that presents a respectable, quality win or loss this year.

I think Landon is very good this year and their OOC wins have "aged well" with those teams turning out to be strong.

However some people prefer to see local wins so that they can examine performance vs common opponents.

That's fair, as far as it goes. The utility of common opponent comparisons is fairly ham fisted given that every game is different (injuries/illness, early vs mid vs late season evolutions in play, travel, weather, rivalry etc), but I see the point.

Also, you can have two 10-5 games that are wildly different, depending on position matchups and if/when the bench gets cleared, etc.

Landon's best wins are Mount St. Joseph and Benjamin. The rest of their wins have been cupcakes.

Benjamin is not that good, and are getting elevated for beating a Millon-less McDonough team that started slow this year.

Mt. St. Joseph is having a great season after losing their 1st game by 1 to Landon, but my guess is they will falter in the 2nd half of the season as they hit the meat of their schedule.

This is said with a little too much certainty and conviction to be taken seriously by an objective observer, tbh.

I think they're a very good team, ranked where they should be right now, and are certainly a contender for best in the DMV, but they are not way better than the rest of the top 5-6. It won't surprise me at all if they lose to Bullis and Prep.

Blows my mind how people still list GC above DM in this forum. DM beat GC comfortably, beat SJC, took Bullis to OT. They are the real deal.

I agree with this statement almost entirely, almost being that- for the Bullis game, Bullis did not have Jackson Maher nor Cooper Revis. These two players have been game changing for the Bulldogs in recent years. No faceoffs or #1 attackman makes a difference.

I do think that DM is VERY legit this year which has been exciting to watch. It seems like most WCAC teams have some depth to an extent, especially DM.

Landon's best wins this year are Benjamin, MSJ, Saint Andrew's FL, and I guess Severn.

How do you say Benjamin is not that good this year? (They are 17-1. They beat McDonogh fair and square. I don't care if Million played or not)

I think MSJ is better than advertised. They were athletic and well coached, depth will be an issue. Will be interesting to see how the Gaels do against BL today.

SJC parent

As a fellow parent , SJC has a deep and talented roster; I saw this when they beat us last week 19 to 1. It's disappointing to see someone speak in a way that disrespects their own team. If you are frustrated about playing time, I encourage focusing that energy on supporting your child and helping them grow—on the field.

My son plays. We are not good.
