The hysteria over this is … well … hysterical.

So you willing to bet your life that republicans won’t pass federal ban at their first chance?

Regardless of what side you're on, that's the beauty of america. If you don't like the laws/taxes/refs your state passes, you can vote new reps in to change them or you can move. You don't want to live in a republican state that bans abortion, move or vote to change the law. No one is forcing you to live in a state with values/laws/tax structures you don't agree with.

Are you being purposely obtuse? Because if the Republicans take the presidency and Senate, they can force a federal law which would impact every single citizen in every single state. No matter who the local representation is, you get that right?

DP, but the issue swings both ways. Dems could vote to make it legal at the federal level.

You need a reason to overturn a federal law which means it would need to go up the chain of the supreme Court which will uphold it

I miss the part in the Constitution. That's his life begins a conception and someone point me to the passage.
Because for all the rights it gives people and never once talks about the unborn.

agreed, not that big of a deal.

I’m concerned states will restrict a woman’s ability to cross state lines.

Why?

Not PP but maybe because Missouri already passed a law barring leaving the state to get an abortion?

It will be at the midterms. 60% of Americans support legalized abortion. It will galvanize the women as well as whatever percent of men who want to have premarital sex without a condom but not be on the hook for child support, polls show something approaching 100%.

So what's the next case that needs to get run up there? That will protect a woman's bodily autonomy?

It’s called America vs the GOP; it’s up in November but there’s prep work everyone can do. The party has to be put down by such a large margin that we actually have the Senate.

It is outrageous that the State would EVER have been regulated control over women's bodies

The state should make no law on this because its a choice between a woman and her Doctor

Period. No one else belongs in the debate

Reserved by the people is different from being guaranteed by the Constitution. It simply means the Federal government cannot infringe on those rights. Not providing federal protection for something is not the same as infringing.

Wow.

Do you think you said something here? Criminalizing abortion means the state has taken power it doesn’t have. The state has no police power over my healthcare other than to ensure my safety. Criminalizing abortion is the opposite. Women will die.

Not to mention, travel is not protected under the constitution, so it would be upheld by the same supremes.
