EXACTLY THIS. This is entirely the point and how it should be. Not you deciding for me, and vice versa. |
It isn't just one person. This is the prevailing thought in a lot of academia and our entire school system. Many liberals (and I still am one) have become hardcore leftists who believe that politics belong in schools. |
Oh relax. Young children should not be exposed to this and you know it. Nothings banned. |
And you have no right to expose this to my child, so there. |
They are adults. Not children. |
I bet they have Mein Kampf or Third Reich in their libraries though.... while banning Maya Angelou |
I find that the kinkier the lifestyle, the more they are right wing Republican. For some reason they think everyone is like them and must be saved from themselves. |
So, anyone willing to say they want old copies of Penthouse in school libraries? |
You have strong pedophile vibes. Meanwhile, all of the books about African American history and that represent gay families are out. Children’s books, not smut. “Before She Was Harriet:” why is that gone? |
Amazing. All you progressives want Penthouse in school libraries. |
you missed my point. It was never there to begin with. Banning books is taking them out of circulation and restricting their access. |
what is with the Penthouse stuff? Penthouse/Playboy was never in school libraries. I mean, What are you talking about? You're throwing crap at the wall and hoping something sticks. Do you not understand how libraries work? Do you not understand what banning books is? Stop listening to your pastor and Fox news.. |
You're missing the point. Penthouse isn't in school libraries, and you know it. You're being deliberately obtuse. And, no, I don't want Penthouse in my 2nd grader's elementary school library (and, please, point me to all these elementary schools with pornographic material you think is just lurking on their library shelves). But I do want her to have access to books with characters who don't look exactly like us, or have the exact same life experiences as us. Oh, and Judy Blume. I'd like for her to be able to read Judy Blume. |
I said that PP has strong pedophile vibes and I stand by that. There are no Penthouse magazines in elementary school libraries and never have been, nor would any parent support it. Yet that creep keeps bringing it up instead of addressing the 1500 books that have been banned that aren’t sexual in the slightest, because their brain makes a sexual connection to children. Seriously. Go read the children’s book “Neither.” There’s no sex in that book, but it’s banned. |
