Official Brett Kavanaugh Thread, Part 5

Ugh. Sad day when he is voted in. How infuriating is it to see the environment for my young daughters headed backwards in time.

While she clearly was trying to look at the evidence and facts, she completely ignored the fact that Kavanaugh's own calendar shows the assault took place on 11 July. I just cannot see how it is that people say there is on evidence when there is that calendar.

Debunked. Move on.

I’m sure they’ll appreciate a country where a great woman took a brave stand for the presumption of innocence.

People are overreacting to the Kavanaugh nomination. It should send a very good message to parents and young adults. Consuming mass quantities of alcohol will result in poor decisions and can come back to haunt you. To parents it should be a message that you need to tell your sons and daughters to never be afraid to tell you when something has happened and that you will support them regardless.

Blasey Ford should not have been afraid to approach her friends and parents with what happened. Had she done it at the time there could have been justice. If she would have told just one person what happened at the time it happened, Kav would have been toast.

Even thought Kavanaugh ended up not he court, his life and reputation will be forever changed and not for the better.

I think so too. There is a reason they did a limited scope and limited time investigation. He wouldn't have passed otherwise.

I think there will be enough that he could be impeached and removed later.

I don't think he'll be impeached, but he will forever have a stain on his name and record.

It's not just the drinking and the whipping out his penis in a woman's face and the assault of Ford. There are:

--finances
--lies under oath
--questions of temperament
--hyper-partisanship of his Bush days

Yes. Two words: Abe Fortas

Spoken exactly like someone who was not assaulted, let alone as a teenager.

the perpetrator (continuing to say his name as if it's a fact does not make it so)

NO ONE HAS ADDRESSED THIS IN THE 4 MONTHS OF THE OTHER BS.

This says exactly what I've said several times on here. If his parents gave him $200k to pay off debt he better have claimed it on his taxes and paid what was due. I hope the Attorney General's Office in MD will take a look at his taxes.

In reality I think the Federalist Society probably paid the debt. Taxes are owed as well as a jail sentence. Banks keep terrific anti money laundering records now. A state investigator could get to the bottom of this fairly quickly.

And Federalist So iety’s money comes from...? Everyone was content to imagine that the NRA was funded by Americans’ dues and lobbyist gifts, but, whoopsie daisy! It’s Russian money!

Sure is. Getting ready to canvass in VA 10.

Donated to Beto, Synema and Jacky. Planning on doing one or both of these things every day till November.

Thanks for the warning. I won't be responding to the doorbell today.

Why would I ring your doorbell, Trumper? You know how this works, right?

We can't be sure when some of your fellow Democrats think nothing of confronting people and screaming like harpies in public places. Elevators. Hallways. Restaurants. etc.

Rather like anti choicers. Except anti choicers stalk to kill.

I'm not anti-choice at all. Do you mean anti-abortion?

That would be too political. Roberts could just ask Kav to recuse himself a lot, so it's like he's not there.

“Advice and consent” is too complex and so libs call it a “job interview.” Not really.
