Remember, everyone, this is your money being flushed. Remember when you pay your healthcare premiums. Remember in November.

Erdogan going to come out smelling like roses. NATO member yet muslim, pretty much the only country not bombed by Iran. All those other countries with US bases that were bombed are probably going to be looked down upon in the end by muslims. Especially since they're all cucks to Huckabee now.

US may have possibly been able to invoke Article 5 of NATO but Israel too weak that they couldn't fight Iran one-on-one until the point Iran attacked the US.

Now, several NATO countries have openly come out against the war.

And finally, the jews want to attack Turkiye next? Will they never learn?

Erdogan and von der Leyen urge diplomacy as Iran crisis deepens

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen held a phone call to discuss the escalating conflict in the region following attacks on Iran, with both leaders stressing that diplomacy remains the only viable path to resolution.

Erdogan used the call to reiterate Türkiye's readiness to serve as a mediator, urging all parties to return to the negotiating table. Von der Leyen, in a post on social media following the conversation, said she welcomed "Türkiye's readiness to mediate and support a resolution through peaceful means."

Turkey as Israel’s “next Iran”? A strategic rivalry reconsidered
https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/20260222-turkey-as-israels-next-iran-a-strategic-rivalry-reconsidered/

When former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said that Turkey, with the support of Qatar, was replacing Iran as Israel’s major strategic threat, his words were not just another warning about another enemy. Instead, his remarks reflected a broader anxiety: Israel could be entering a period of renewed conflict with a powerful and prosperous adversary—a situation that also carries historical significance.

For decades, Israel’s security concerns have been dictated by Iran and its Shi’a axis, including Iran’s plans for a nuclear program, Hezbollah’s missiles, and the undeclared wars in Syria and Lebanon. But Bennett’s words speak of a new axis: Turkey, a member of NATO with a thriving economy and global ambitions, is building a Sunni axis that might be even more powerful than Iran’s Shi’a axis. “Erdoğan is a sophisticated actor who understands how to turn ideology into leverage,” says Meliha Altunışık, a Turkish expert on international politics. “Unlike Iran, Turkey combines pragmatism with ideology, making it both credible and unpredictable.”

Seems a little more complicated to start an ill-advised war with a NATO country. I guess that Turkey might want to liberate those 50 US nuclear weapons at Incirlik Air Base.

JUST IN: Pentagon briefers acknowledged to congressional staff in a briefing Sunday that Iran was not planning to strike US forces or bases in the Middle East unless Israel attacked Iran first. CNN reports.

@demsmight

Now our bases are on fire.

Not sure but it was $200M just in the run up before ordnance was wasted defending Israel. Last year's failed strikes were $2.25B.

Hopefully the reserves will run low enough that US will triage the rest of the interceptors so that Israel can't be defended. Need to bleed that country. Their population is weak and will beg for a truce, and then kick Netanyahu out of power.

The end of that post seems inevitable: "And there are plenty of possible scenarios in which Trump declares victory and leaves the region with an absolute mess".

He'll accomplish nothing, get troops and other civilians overseas killed, leave the US in a much worse position...and declare victory.

This is going to get worse sadly. We are really low on missile interceptors which means Israel and the gulf will also be low on missile interceptors. If Iran continues this barrage of missiles, it isn’t going to be good for any of us and this is just the air assault. Billions of dollars in US tax money burned to the ground already with the base assaults, destruction of planes, and razing all the major cities from Israel to Bahrain.

All of this to kill a 86 year old man with one foot in the grave?

It’s weird though. This whole Iran fiasco is unpopular with MAGA because it directly contravenes the entire America First principle. So who is DCUM MAGA shilling for?

They never actually believed any of those so-called principles. It was always a lie

I disagree. I think war is the one thing maga is upset about regarding Trump. 27% of the country support this war. About 50% of the country is maga (maybe a bit more)

+1. A large part of MAGA base is anti war. Trump and Vance campaigned for YEARS explicity stating no new wars and mocking prior Middle East wars. Those people are beyond pissed off and betrayed. Trump and anyone associated is FINISHED. They aren't going to win anything without this part of the base who will either not vote gain or vote Dem.

...

Trump is the embodiment of MAGA. Trump himself said this and nobody disputed it.

Therefore, MAGA will justify whatever he says and does. They will sacrifice themselves and others at the altar of Trump and do it with a smile. MAGA is beyond stupid.

US jets crash in Kuwait, Iran says no Trump talks
https://www.aljazeera.com/news/liveblog/2026/3/2/us-israel-attack-iran-live?update=4355145

The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has said that three US F-15E Strike Eagles were “mistakenly been shot down” by Kuwaiti air defence on Sunday.

“All six aircrew ejected safely, have been safely recovered, and are in stable condition. Kuwait has acknowledged this incident, and we are grateful for the efforts of the Kuwaiti defense forces and their support in this ongoing operation,” the statement published on X said.

Trump didn’t only start a war.

He caused it.

Rubin's assessment of the success of the Iran deal is hopeful at best. He should know that there are no guarantees.
