If you check the club site Gus is listed as a staff coach but not coaching any specific teams. A few new names there. Contract probably not renewed which is a shame since Gus and Marvin are by far the best coaches at FCV. |
Gus is excellent and at least appears to care about every girl on his teams-the same cannot be said for Bobby P, who cares only about the top 1 or 2 girls on the GA team and that's it.
Supposedly the club is down to about 3 coaches for all of the teams. Everyone is spread thin. We will see how it goes... |
Were contracts not renewed? Marvin will be quite popular if we ever play a game.....which sucks as he is my DD's primary coach. |
Gus is a professional. He is an excellent coach, treats his coaching job as a real job. He had trained many top level players both at club level, privates, and thru STBW. FCV should rerank their coaching staff. |
How do you run a girls program with 3 coaches?????? |
Only the GA team matters to the leadership at FCV. The travel teams just subsidize costs for the club. So it's not really a problem. |
He treats it like a real job because that’s how he makes a living. I do the same at my job. |
Which might also explain why is not there...he has no contract to be there. |
Or, it is summer? Nothing to see here. |
Well Bobby is part of actually doing that ranking so... |
Check the coaching lineup. He's got no teams. |
And yet he is still listed on the staff. There is nothing to see here. |
There are fewer players to coach. They will sort out the players, teams and then coaches. It will be ok. |
Okkkkk. Cause that makes sense. Have 1 of your best coaches with no teams. |
He has always been more of a technical trainer as well as the Futsal Director. They do run a year round futsal program. On top of that he has his own training company which is HIS brand, not FCV. So perhaps he doesn't want the responsibility of a team when he can be a technical trainer for ALL the teams. He is certainly more than capable of running a team as needed and has coached teams at FCV in the past. |
