Jesus, we get it you don’t. You are arguing case that nobody has denied. |
The DA expansion for 2018-19 has been announced:
http://www.ussoccerda.com/20180309-news-16-new-clubs-added-for-2018-2019-season On the boys side, Arlington and Loudoun got U15 and VDA got U18/19. No mention of McLean. |
McLean decided not to renew their DA for next year. |
No mention of it. Is that a fact or a just arumor? It does not seem to be reflected in the number of clubs US soccer is projecting for next year. |
There is no US Soccer mention of VDA dropping out of GDA either and yet it happened. It is not like leagues announce who they lost. |
Yeah, if you go to McLean's website and look in their BOD minutes from December I believe you can see it there that they voted to not renew the DA or whatever. Plus, I know a 2007 boy's coach who confirmed this. And I know a parent of a current U12 DA boy who was at the parent meeting when they announced it and they said they are pursuing ECNL. |
Wait -- VDA is adding boys teams and dropping girls? Are you serious? |
not PP, but that is what VDA posted. |
Yes, VDA girls going ECNL...and keeping name VDA, which I thought was weird. : ) |
Not exactly sure why this is surprising. DA is the clear cut top level for boys. For girls there is a debate between DA vs ECNL. I'm not really sure why you would switch from one to the other at this point, but I guess there could be an argument...somewhere. |
It isn't a debate as much as it is a preference. ECNL added 2 clubs in NOVA this year. Adding clubs at the rate ECNL is not an act of being "elite". |
True, though VDA is surely stronger on the girls side, and there's the whole awkward thing of having "DA" in the name and going ECNL instead. Geez, this is all so silly, isn't it? |
VDA is stronger on the girls side? ouch , if that’s true |
Because VDA’s TD is now the “head” of US Youth Soccer, which is closely affiliated with ECNL |
US Club Soccer not US Youth Soccer. |
