Herndon club

This year they are only Sterling for the 2012 girls. I hope that Sterling is up front about pricing if before they make offers. It's bad enough that last year they didn't tell us about the merger with Herndon until we were already committed. If there are any returning players, I'm sure they will assume it's the same pricing as this year. Hopefully, they don't bait and switch people by making it the same fee, but then add in super high team fees to cover the additional cost.

My daughter went (signed up for Sterling tryouts) and they told her something about combining the teams? Are they actually going to have Sterling and Herndon girls on the same team this year?

What was the turnout like for girls?

I don't see Sterling increasing their prices. You'll know soon though, price breakdowns are included in their offer letters.

Yes and no. The only thing when you commit that's listed are the club fees. The team fees are not specified. That's pretty standard across clubs. There's always some blanket language that says what they're for, but that they change based on xyz. So in theory, they can leave the club fees, but jack up the team fees and it all equals out to whatever Herndon fees are.

Sterling doesn’t have team fees at all though. Technically they can add them for the first time, but it’s not a structure they’ve ever done before.

So the tournaments and everything are included in the base price at Sterling?

There were friendlies last weekend? Our team has not scrimmaged once all year.

Both my kids had scrimmages last week, and also their teams had some other scrimmages earlier in the year.

I would be unhappy if other teams are getting all these extra games and my child’s team is getting nothing. When we pay the fees, we were told several friendlies for each team are supposed to be included.

Seems to be very uneven experience at Herndon depending on whether you are on one of the teams they don't care about.

What does Sterling charge?
Anonymous
Someone posted earlier around $1900 IIRC

I feel like it was around $2K, but I do remember the leadership saying that they would keep the Sterling fees for the first year of the agreement with Herndon, but didn't know after that.

Do the boys side MLSnext AD teams also only pay 2k? That's a good price.

I don't know about the boys. I don't have a boy. I'd assume it wouldn't be crazy since it's through a WV team. But, I'm just making assumptions.
