Do you even know how many relationships there are between subordinates and their bosses in mcps? PLENTY

If there are PLENTY, then MCPS and the BOE need to rectify this company culture. Bosses should never be dating or making sexual advances to people they supervise. That’s HR 101.

You mean documented cases of sexual harassment.

Will you be saying the same thing when consensually sent nude pictures and sexual text exchanges of these teachers show up?

Yes because he was their boss. The power dynamic is no different than an adult doing this to a minor

Oh paaaalease! An adult doing this to a minor? What type of sick person are you? These are consenting adults. You people just want to make this man into the scum of the earth. just stop!

Please, the man is obviously terrible. I'm sorry, but we are not idiots.

It is the culture of MCPS. It’s the way to the climb the ladder. Happy hours, flirting etc… His previous boss did the same thing to him but it’s looked at as all fun and games when it’s a man that’s the victim. Maybe he learned this behavior from past bosses that he had. QO principal knows all about it.

How do you know what his previous bosses did? If they sexually harassed him, then it was wrong.

Did he file a complaint? Did he feel pressure to not file a complaint because he wanted to get promoted?

At the end of the day, he should be accountable for his actions as well as any supervisor who sexually harassed or bullied him.

People should be promoted based on their job performance and leadership skills, not their sexuality and ability to flirt.

Kevin Spacy attempted this type of excuse as well and it destroyed his career. It’s the last gasp of hope to get out of a situation they so clearly created on their own volition

If that's true, they should contact The Post with details, not make anonymous claims on DCUM.

Two wrongs do not make a right. Would definitely apply to sexual harassment and bullying complaints. All parties found to be committing misconduct should be terminated.

Let us still note that he is responsible for his behaviors. He’s a grown up making grown up choices that will give him grown up consequences

Are you for real? The same person who keeps victim blaming?

The only grown up choices that the 18 accusers made was to report the sexual harassment and bullying. When MCPS ignored their complaints, they told their experiences to a reporter with the Washington Post. They most certainly didn’t make a choice that would justify such unprofessional and toxic treatment by a Principal.

Waiting to hear from MCPS….they said “phase one” of the law firm’s investigation would be completed by September 8. Hopefully phase 2 will involve actually speaking to teachers he bullied for years.
