Consider it a blessing that teachers didn’t have to talk to Jackson Lewis for its sham investigation but don’t expect any news today.

Personally I'm expecting a Friday afternoon news drop- say 4:45 today, if at all.

No way they'll have had a chance to comb thru that investigation and put out a statement today. They'll punt till next week. Plus, the news on the B-CC kids being charged just broke. No need to make two news cycles in one weekend.

Lol - a late Friday statement confirming the Jackson Lewis investigation is concluded with a statement of the BOE commitment to transparency but the BOE is not releasing the report. Is anyone surprised?

Where does it say they will not be releasing the report? It says they just received an extensive report and are reviewing it.

No. The point of the investigation wasn't to confirm that there are problems with MCPS's vetting process. Again, we already knew that from the Post.

It was to unearth who knew what, when and why it happened. This letter doesn't even attempt to shed light on that. It just literally corroborates and confirms what the Post reported, which is that someone who did bad things somehow slipped under the radar under the noses of the BOE and was rewarded despite his bad behavior.

We don't need an investigation for the WHAT. We're looking for the WHY and the HOW.

No, it basically punts the releasing of the report to the Inspector General, and it makes it clear the Inspectors General offices prioritize their investigations on their own timelines. So the BOE is washing its hands of any fast and hard deadline for the release of the report because with the Jackson Lewis portion completed, they've handed it over to the IGs.

Yep. Instead of transparency the BOE is withholding releasing the report. To do so at 5:38pm on a Friday is cowardly.

This is always the way it was going to go.

So you expected them to tweet out a statement containing that level of detail? That seems absurd.

They didn’t release the report, which is clearly finished, and they didn’t say when they would be. If there were going to release the report, they would have said when they’re doing it.

DP. They released a letter. That’s where the detail should have been.
