SJC has been having coach-monitored and instructed practices since Mid-January. They will have cuts next week. |
Shhh. Snitch If your team is waiting until next week to lift weights, condition and work on stick skills you need a new HS. |
Some schools have been doing this all year….SJC getting lazy and complacent. |
If they want to keep up they better. |
Haha. Bunch of pretenders. Haven’t won squat. There will be no where to hide come spring. |
SJC will come back down to reality this Spring |
Wild. Seems the experts think they are a nationally ranked program. |
St. John’s plays the #2, #4 and #7 ranked teams out of conference. Impressive |
SJC has brutal opening schedule. Could easily be 1-5 after playing vs. #7, #10, Gilman, #2, #14 & #4 to start the season. Nobody else in the country has that tough a start. If Cadets get through those games .500 or better, they're guaranteed a top 10 finish. But it will be tough, especially with early injuries. |
Very tough. Nobody in the DMV matches the schedule. Wondering why the “top” teams in the area wouldn’t schedule these top national teams while they are in town. Seems like a chance to prove yourself on the field. |
You’re kidding right? You can’t be this dense. |
SJC's schedule is front loaded with some juggernaut national recognized programs. Gilman, while still a great team, hasn't made the MIAA playoffs in years. The Cadets schedule for the month of April is full of cupcakes, you can't dispute that. Wes could have played another IAC team or two but refuses to play back 2 back games - pathetic he couldn't play Bullis after Ireton or the O'Connell or Ryken games. Most JV programs from the IAC would beat these programs. Dates were provided to Wes but he said "no thanks" 03/05 @ Boys' Latin (0-0) MD A MIAA 03/08 Hill Academy (0-0) Intersectional Independents 03/15 Gilman (0-0) MD A MIAA 03/19 Culver Academy Prep (0-0) Intersectional Independents 03/22 Taft School (0-0) NE 1 West-FL 03/28 vs St Anthony's (0-0) NY LI AAA-AA 04/05 St Marys Ryken (0-0) DC WCAC 04/09 @ Paul VI (0-0) DC WCAC 04/12 Bishop Ireton (0-0) DC WCAC 04/16 @ Our Lady of Good Counsel (0-0) DC WCAC 04/19 Bishop McNamara (0-0) DC WCAC 04/23 @ The Heights (0-0) DC WCAC 04/26 Bishop O'Connell (0-0) DC WCAC 04/30 @ DeMatha (0-0) DC WCAC 05/03 Gonzaga (0-0) DC WCAC |
wow, those first six games are incredible. |
Gilman and Taft are down--BUT the other 4 teams are very strong. IF SJC can go 2 - 2 vs Hill, BL, Culver, and St A's that would be good. If they go 1 - 3 or 0 - 4 SJC will have some issues all season. |
The former HC at Taft took over the head coaching reigns at STAB down in Charlottesville. Will be interesting to see how quickly STAB emerges as a national power as I believe the school does have an element of boarding. I think SJC will beat Hill Academy, lose to BL, lose to Culver, and a total toss-up with Saint Anthony's from LI. The Cadets should beat Gilman, if they can't, it's a sign of things to come. |
