Strongest sustained economic recovery in US history, with low unemployment, and yet Fox has convinced its low info viewers that we are in the midst of a recession.

I don't watch Fox news. Call it or don't call it whatever you want. Taxpayers like me are fed up with give away programs, crime, and inflation. See ya in November.

Inflation has outpaced wage increases, so yes..... people are paying more for less.
This is not a strong economy despite the rhetoric by this administration.
Gas prices have MORE THAN DOUBLED since Biden took office. And, don't even ask about coal or natural gas.
Then, there is the price increase on basic needs (food) and things people require (automobiles).

PP here. Continue with your petty insults, if that makes your day. I stand by my comment and my opinions. Would love to watch the November election results with you.

Ok. I appreciate the offer, but I'll pass. You sound miserable and uninformed; I prefer to keep better company.

Uh, have you noticed how when the price of a barrel of oil goes up, the price at the the pump goes up immediately, but when it goes down, the price at the pump stays the same? Have you noticed the oil companies are raking in record profits?

So you are saying the White House is responsible for the cost of oil? That seems kinda socialistic.

Yes. I’m a democrat but the PP is straight up gaslighting. My family and many like mine do indeed have less than we did a year ago.

There is a reason for this. When Trump was president, the economy collapsed; people were not driving and thus the cost of fuel went down. When Biden took office, he instituted a plan for distributing vaccines. People returned to work, and thus the demand for gas when up and the cost went with it.

I suppose you prefer sustained economic collapse and recession, which is what Papa Bush, W and Trump left in 1993, 2009 and 2021 respectively.

Me? I prefer a growing economy, the way Clinton, Obama and now Biden, are doing it.

Republicans love a free market, except for when they don't. They'd love to see a Venezuela-like regime where the government lowers the price of gas.

It’s unfortunate you don’t understand basic economics or that a US President has little to nothing to do with energy prices. Yes, gas prices were low when Biden took office in January 2021 because worldwide demand was at a historic low. This caused OPEC to cut production by 10 million barrels a day. They couldn’t give oil away. Oil is a global market and inflation is a global problem. Both are exacerbated by Russia, which produces more oil than the Saudis. So if you want to place blame, look at MBS — who wants to punish Biden politically — and Putin. But keep tilting at windmills.

The price of coal has tripled in Australia. Gas is over $6.10 a gallon (converting CAD/liter) in Canada? Also Biden’s fault?
