Ethanol lowers fuel efficiency. Ethanol can cause premature wear to valve seals and gaskets. Ethanol increases carbon buildup in engines. Diverting corn to ethanol use will drive up food prices because corn syrup is ubiquitous in America. |
No, that’s bad. I think the gas prices are being yanked up - price gouging, let’s call it, since the GOP voted down a measure that would have stopped the oil and gas companies from yanking our collective chain - artificially to ding Biden, but ethanol is the stupidest idea. And I live in a state that grows a ton of the corn that’s used in ethanol. It’s just a monstrously stupid idea. Drive less. Those who can should get electric cars and electric panels for their homes. Drive slower. And FFS put some controls on the out of control price gouging. |
What will you Dims do when there isn't enough popcorn on the shelves to watch the j6 hearing primeTIME! |
Putting corn in gasoline is really dumb. |
I see $7 gas as the price we pay to assure a red wave in November. I hope it remains long enough to gain control of congress, neuter Biden’s stupidity, and let the investigations begin! |
Not a surprise that Republicans would sabotage their own country just to stick it to the libs and gain power. I bet oil company executives think the same way as you. |
The pp may be wishing for it, but the pp's party isn't actually the one responsible for the sabotage. |
Saw something really interesting yesterday about the gap between Americans’ reality and perception of the economy. Most people are actually doing pretty well, but the psychological impact of rising prices is making people feel like they have less. The truth is, wages are up. People just want more for less, like they always do. I’m paying at the pump, I don’t love it, but the economy really is ok. |
