Is Summer Residential Governor’s Schools a big deal?

Yes, I was hoping FCPS would know and tell the kids at least but they don’t seem to know either. The VPA site is the only one that says Monday by email that I know of but even that update says “should” go out on Monday. What are the PPs with the Friday backup deadlines doing? My kid is so frustrated by this delay. |

| School counselor told my kid email notifications will come on Monday, May 8. It’s amazing they didn’t even manage to make the stated early this week timeframe when it’s already weeks past the original mid-April date. |

I know two, neither got into accepted into a single ivy but both doing reasonably well after graduating from a state school and a private T20. |
