CYA is a club with rec-level to mid-travel-level players at best, that plays in travel leagues. Yes SYA is much stronger and CYA could benefit greatly from merging with them. Not so much the other way around. |

You're kidding yourself. SYA is stronger than CYA, but SYA has no pathway to DA/ECNL and they're just going to continually get picked over by the DA/ECNLs clubs in Fairfax, Loudoun, PW. |

I don't care about CYA. They might not have a program to speak of in a couple of years if they don't get it together. SYA needs to realize they aren't in a good place themselves, so they might not want to be throwing stones. |

| CYA is practically non-competitive at the travel level. But if people like having hot air blown up their you-know-what, more power to them let them be happy. All I know is the quality I have seen on the field from CYA and the in-game management from coaches. It used to be a lot better just a year ago. |

Maybe if instead of acting like everything is just magical and you gave a single example of a tangible improvement, your enlightening words might stop all these comments. Or maybe if instead of posting lies about what went on the last few years at CYA, people might feel inclined to leave this thread alone. 2 sides to this argument, both with plenty of hate for the other, only one providing facts. |

| I’ve never been there. I’ve seen their teams play from several age groups over several years, and you can just tell. You’re telling me it’s too hard to discern the product on the field and the in-game management, especially when you’re just a few feet away on the same sideline? They have a fancy clubhouse now, it doesn’t mean the product on the field is any good. |

But why bother even hating? Just move on with your life. Again, I've never passed judgment on the club one way or another. Please, by all means tell us where you are now that is better so that we can learn where it is magical. You seem to throw a lot of shade without shining any light on a possible club that would be a more positive place. Just move on with your life, I fail to understand what possible good can come from you living in the past and running down a youth soccer club. It. Is. Just. Soccer. You may be right with everything you are saying but you just sound like a bitter ex at this point. And frankly, your ex, she has moved on and is living her life without you, it is time you did the same. |

I just find your overly defensive posts to be suspect, don’t take it so personally. I’m critiquing the club on soccer merits. I’m sure the people running it are quite nice, but that’s not what’s being discussed here. Start a ‘CYA Positive Participation” thread or something if all you want is praise. |
