He's too old.

+ 1 million -- We cannot run another septuagenarian.

Cory Booker, Gillibrand, Harris -- we need fresh blood.

I agree we need fresh blood but we also need someone who can win - 2016 should have taught us that lesson.

The three individuals you named are very unlikely to defeat Trump.

What is it about some liberals who just can't get it into their thick heads that what we need is not just someone who has the background to be president but he/she has to be ELECTABLE.

She is undoubtedly positioning herself for another run in 2020.

Yes. It's HER turn. Time to make herstory. #ImWithHer

Are you a republican or a democrat? I think you are an R. What are you all going to do when the Clintons are dead? Where will all this energy go?

Not the PP you asked but I hold the same view; she is positioning herself to seek the nomination. And I am not a Republican.

Are you a democrat? Are you under the age of 45?

Anyone who doesn't admit that is blinded by partisanship or a fool, or both.

I'm very liberal, and I think this is completely wrong. I think Trump will win in 2020, no problem, and am prepared to knock on doors for months in 2018 and 2020 in opposition to him and all the Republican cowards who are supporting him. GOTV is the only way we can defeat him and his horrific policies.

Agree with other posters who say Democrats need a man to run in 2020. Just look at how Trump is destroying Merkel and May. He's a sadistic creep who is especially adept at targeting women politicians.

Yes to the first question and no to the second.

Why does anyone think Hillary can -- or would want to -- run again? I can't believe she is that delusional.

Hillary’s done, and a guy from Vermont or Deleware isn’t going to do the trick. Some governor from the Midwest, if there is such a Democrat.

All the democrat potential talent lost their opportunities thanks to Obama's 1000 seats lost to republicans during his term. He was so bad that he basically drove the democrat ship right into the iceberg. No bench talent in the 45-60 year old range. Were all the liberals sleeping for 8 years?

Especially woman politicians who allow their countries to be overrun by every immigrant that can make it to the gates. I think he let a few men have it along the way too. Look at their policies to see why Trump is on them, not their gender.

I do not think DNC did any poor job. There are at least 10 or more qualified person I can think of. It is just that some people cannot see past Biden/Sanders. I believe Duckworth, Gillibrand, Ted Lieu, Warren, Booker, Kamala Harris, O'Malley, Cuomo, Blasio, Chris Murphey, Schiff, Tim Kaine, Eric Salwell Michelle Obama or Klobuchar would be a fine President.

With a couple of exceptions, this is a pretty sorry bunch of potential candidates - most are not electable.

The only ones I like and would be willing to vote for are shown in bold. I'd also vote for Mark Warner. I am not sure any of them- with the possible exception of Biden - could defeat Trump assuming the economy is doing well.

Michele Obama? What are her qualifications, being a first lady she got to watch her husband try to run the country? Why are you leaving Oprah out? She has more popular support than all of those weak candidates combined.

I think Michelle Obama is electable. Two factors must go into anyone we nominate: qualification and electability - and the latter is more important than the former.

Please lay out the first one, what are Michelle Obama's qualifications?

What are trump's?

Ran a multi-billion dollar business into the ground employing 1000's but paying them poorly, stiffing vendors, racking up lawsuits.

Better now.

not a R but chelsea's reproduced so the clinton gene line seems like it'll be with us for a long time. you think chelsea, marc and their spawn will just quietly fade into regular society and not inject themselves into the political discourse?

Her "turn"? No, that's not how things work.
