But also Not Very Bright. At least, not as smart as she thinks she is. Very cunning though. I don’t think anyone she knows likes her, and she’s fine with that. Emotion is so inconvenient.

I actually don't think she sold herself that way. People in the media and politics expressed that hopeful opinion, and she may have done nothing to counteract it (and why should she?), but I don't think it started with her.
