| Nepotism is seldom attractive. |
I disagree. I find her to be completely vapid in interviews and her book. She’s all style and no substance. |
| OP, I used to think more highly of her for having started her own business. But then I saw that awful interview where she talked about how her dad made this big deal about being "poorer than the bum on the street" after going bankrupt. And I realized that she is an awful, clueless, out-of-touch human being. |
The Trump children would be best served by STFU, as they are terrible speakers and sound like entitled morons when they open their underdeveloped jaws. |
|
I am a liberal Dem and thought she was impressive before the election. I own a lot of her clothes and think they look great.
After the election, my opinion changed. She seems vapid, clueless, and condescending in interviews. She has a phony voice and has had too much work done. Why do all of the Trump women have phony, huge boobs that look top- heavy and matronly? I hope she returns to NYC. She and Jared would have been smart to stay there. |
That, and her only professional background is product marketing and modeling, yet she works as an adviser to the President of the United States. |

I think it's the overly controlled attempt to appear perfect: perfectly coifed, perfectly dressed, perfectly groomed, perfectly made up, perfectly spoken...It's the perfection of a Hollywood star like Gwyneth Paltrow that is just completely off-putting. Trump is so focused on how she appears to cameras and the public you don't get any sense of a real human being underneath the veneer. And it's like she's trying to have her cake and eat it too - when she speaks she's always controlling herself so that she doesn't threaten anyone but appears "ladylike" even when she's talking about a difficult issue. She wants to pretend she can be above the fray and not offend anyone - she wants everyone to like her, like a good girl does.
|
I mean statistically speaking - she graduated from college and most American's don't even do that. I would guess that in the average bureaucrat circles of DC she is not "smart" and definitely agree that she seems vapid in comparison to the average college graduate or DCUMer. |
| She's cool with her dad's banana republic style (no, I'm not talking about where he shops). |
| She looks and sounds like a Stepford Wife, or in this case, Daughter |
| She is trying way to hard to look like Barbie. Or a Disney Princess. Most of us outgrow that look at 9. |
| Now that I think about it, I was friends with a girl in middle school who went to high school with her. We haven't spoken in almost 25 years, but I sure do feel temped to reach out and just say "Hey - hope you're well. Is Ivanka Trump dumb as a rock?" I would never do that, and this woman is far too polite and professionally accomplished to comment, but I sure want to! |
i agree with the bolded and not the rest. she is probably above average in intelligence. but totally out of place in the white house even by standards of other occupants. i mean, her father at least won the election and others helped me him do it in whatever way... she is there literally because she is his daughter yet appears to play a significant role... an that's annoying. |
| So much cattyness from others that are jealous of her beauty and poise in here. Guess it's ok with the left when you're hating on some one on the right though. All morals and brow beating about judging appearances go right out the window then. |
And then calls herself a daughter when asked a hard question in an interview. You may be a daughter, but you’re also a White House senior advisor sent across the globe to discuss hugely important foreign policy issues with the President of South Korea. You don’t get to benefit from the circumstances of your birth and then hide behind them. |
