HA,HA,HA. Look at the Wilson boundary. This place is going to explode.

(PS: I like it).

Note that they pulled in Shepherd Park. There are a LOT of influential politicians/attorneys/lobbyists with the DC government who live up there. That was definitely NOT an accident to move them officially into Wilson.

And Colonial Village, same as Shepherd Park, lots of influential politicians/attorneys/lobbyists with the DC government live there also. Note that the map is mislabeled, it makes the current eastern border in NW look like it is 14th Street, but I am pretty sure that is 16th Street.

Shepherd Park is EAST of 16th Street, so if they have included SP (yea!) than it would need to be east of 16th street. If 16th street is the cut off, it would only include Colonial Village.

The current boundary is 16th street. Good lord, they botched a simple map. What else is wrong with the map?

I'm looking at it on a phone, but it looks like there's a "hook" in the NE corner of the boundary that includes all of Shepard Park. That diagonal line from 16th street is Walter Reed.

Sorry, wasn't clear. The previous (current) boundary is labeled as 14th Street, but appears to be 16th Street. The proposed boundary in the map does indeed cut east of Beach Drive AND 16th Street right up at the top of DC, to include Shepherd Park and Colonial Village, neither of which are in the previous (current) boundary for Wilson.

The map is terrible! You really can't tell what streets are where. I hope there is an interactive graphic on the Post website, like there was last time around.

Can anyone tell whether Crestwood has been cut out of the Wilson boundary? I can't tell what the northern and southern boundaries for that chunk west of 16th are. Anybody?

Crestwood appears out to me.

Yes, it's gone.

Here's the deal: Shephard Park, Lafayette, Murch, Janney, Hearst and Bancroft feed Deal. Eaton, Mann, Key, Stoddert and Hyde feed Hardy. Hardy and Deal feed Wilson. (It appears that Oyster EC feeds Wilson too, but this was not explained to me beforehand.)

For sure it was embargoed, but that doesn't stop a dumbass at any individual school from posting it.

And logic dictates that you don't create a circumstance which allows dumbasses to have access until after the embargo has expired. It's really not that complicated.

Q: I haven't seen anything about OOB feeder rights.

The first page, before the map, talks about grandfathering, but I don't see anything on a right to continue in a feeder stream.

I'm guessing it's still a "right."

They mislabeled 16th St as 14th St. Pretty silly mistake.

The new boundary does indeed cut out Crestwood. It's a weird little scoop in the eastern border.

You're right. Obviously school administrators are not trustworthy.

Or maybe the embargo was lifted at noon and none of the other schools have gotten around to posting it?

Everyone in grades 3-5 in 2015-16 school year will continue to current destination school .

The paragraph addressing feeder rights is pretty straightforward. Children in Grades 6, 7 & 8 will have the option to feed to the current HS, as will their sibs.
