Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS)
You are right, lesson learned. Walking away. |
| My kid is taking a fair number of APs but he can handle it. He says the kids who seem the most stressed out are the ones doing the full IB diploma at another school. Go figure. |
Your first point, about walking away is relevant - that's called freedom. Your second is the definition of tyranny. Which world would you rather live in? |
That is a direct result of the 'fairness' of the political climate nowadays. We are seeing the direct effects of that in our children. I have explained to my kids early on how the politics work so they can understand why so much of this is out of their control. That has led to less stress. |
Isn't that true everywhere? |
I think you're a bully who is just not satisfied until you've drowned out every other voice. People have different opinions on subjects involving on own children. Your way is not necessarily right or best -- but you may be the biggest pain in the ass. So there's that. Congratulations. |
No. There are very few schools with the socioeconomic demographic Langley has. Even 90210 has apartments feeding in. |
And they are entitled to those opinions, as am I. When one person's opinion is deleted because someone 'in charge' doesn't agree or doesn't like it, that is tyranny. I'd rather be called a pain in the ass than have another child commit suicide or crash and burn because of the ridiculousness of politicians, teachers, and administrators who are supposed to be the adults. A kid in a public school is literally trapped unless the parents get them out. Some will say the same about private, but one has to remember that when the parent is writing the checks, they have a much more vested interest in what goes on. Public schools are paid for with tax dollars and people mistakenly looked at it as 'free education', so parents turn their backs on all sorts of abuse where they otherwise wouldn't in a private. It's the kids who suffer in the end. |
| Your posts were deleted and other threads shut down because you're a menace and a bully and you will leave nothing alone. (And instead of crying "tyranny" here, why not take it up with Jeff on the Website Feedback forum?) Your incessant posts with blatant disregard for the opinions and experiences of others (not to mention your denigration of the dead) ruin the discussion for everyone else. If you see that as having proved your point, you couldn't be more wrong. |
Thank you for this sane, rational voice of reason. It's such a shame that every single thread is in some way ruined by her rabid posts. |
In your opinion. And in Jeff's opinion. I have never seen a post deleted on a 'right-wing' forum. That's because they support freedom of speech and aren't hypocrites. The only way you get a post deleted is if you post something that breaks the law, and then it is also reported to the authorities. There is nothing to discuss with those that support tyranny. Jeff is pretty blatant with it's MY website and I control what's on MY website. He's right about that. But let's look at that for what it is. Since you've accused me of denigrating the dead, I'd like you to detail how I've done that. |
Seriously Linda, you absolutely do ruin almost any discussion you join. You are delusional if you think right-wing websites don't delete comments that don't break the law. You probably don't have a lot of experience posting liberal comments on such sites. But, just to be clear, despite your desire to be a right-wing martyr, there are plenty of right-wingers who post here without a problem. Your posts get deleted and your threads get locked because you act in a completely unbalanced and unhinged manner. I am not sure what psychological need DCUM is fulfilling for you. You seem to hate all of us, hate me especially, hate the DC area, and generally feel that none of us are people with whom you'd want to associate. So, I don't get why you associate with us so much. But, again, I guess you've caused another thread to be locked. |
