Sarah Richardson's new show is horrible. It's just the same tired format of every other hgtv show - couple looks at 3 houses and one gets transformed. And in her new show they only focus on one space getting redone with hardly any tips on how she did it. I loved her previous shows where she had to correct mistakes, showed how she paired patterns, color and textures together, and what her design inliration was.
You don't learn anything from the current hgtv programming. Except for Rehab Addict, but most people aren't restoring period homes. What happened to kitchen cousins? Did they take them off the air? And David Bromstead? I loved watching his show. Curb Appeal - is that show on anymore? And there's no garden in hgtv anymore. They used to have at least a few garden transformation programs. I barely watch it anymore. |
I keep watching that tiny house show, but I actually had a nightmare one night that we all had to live in one. I think I'd just be a claustrophobic mess. BUt I really admire the people who are doing it to pay down debt -- or the woman who was doing it while she was in med school. Felt a bit sorry for the two kids though who had to live in one with mom and dad. That show at least makes you think a bit about how you want to live your life, however. It's not just all about the granite countertops. |
Because they feel like they have done everything else already. Like all shows, even networks eventually jump the shark. |
And yet there's an ad in which she claims that she doesn't follow trends and the people will be happy with their places for years and years. I keep thinking about the F*ckYourNoguchiCoffeeTable Tumblr |
Americans love competition shows. Even cooking competition shows. ![]() |
I miss Curb Appeal.
And the design show with Candice. Like Selling New York. Not a fan of a lot of the newer stuff. |
I really enjoy Rehab Addict with Nicole Curtis. The show does a good job of showing that you don't have to gut most older homes and there is real appeal in the original characteristics. |
I was wondering what happened to Divine Design. It's not on anymore? I currently like Love It or List It just because I'm in that phase with my home right now. |
I liked design on a dime. Lots of good DIY ideas. |
Yes designing for the sexes was a good decorating show |
I miss the old HGTV PROGRAMMING. I CANT WATCH IT ANYMORE. ITS A BIG WAIST OF MY TIME. |
There was one episode where she had the buyer couple to her house to see her kitchen and the guy hated it. So their house was a bit of a departure for her. I agree, however, she is a bit of a one trick pony, or at least, the work she shows on hgtv. |
I watch this because she shows a lot of skin! -a DH |
She is so annoying! Everything from her nasally accent to her show offy "look how hard core I am. I am using a drill". |
I'd drill her anytime! |
