Have you ever seen something that disturbed you so much that you have never forgotten about it?

Televised beheadings - Nick Berg and any others - I never watched any of them because I knew I wouldn't be able to get the images out of my mind.

Any and all horrible war images/violation of human rights, hard to forget.

+1 Open coffin service. Very creepy and I was an adult.

I cried. I actually liked the movie but because of this scene I can't watch it again.

OMG! I had a coworker who watched the video of it. He was so horrified that he could not sleep for days. He told me, "don't watch it!!" Human misery/violence is not something at which I want to take a gander.

You saw him? Was he with his lady friend?

Not Whitey. And I agree, that one is completely horrific. I don't even want to type anything about it because it bothers me so much. (and the kids are now out of prison and living under assumed names, which is just...there are no words)

I remember this, it was so horrible. I just remember watching that survalence video and feeling sick, that poor kid.

One of the child killers must also been molested since they think Jamie was also molested. And that killer is back in prison for child porn.

Wow - I hadn't heard about this before this thread. I am normally not too affected by disturbing stories/photos, but this one really just struck something inside me. Thinking about that poor little 2 year old walking around with those boys, hurt and scared. And then the end. I can't stop thinking about it. Might have something to do with my 2 year old little boy sleeping upstairs - way too easy to empathize!

I will never forget this. We drove up onto the scene of a horrific car accident. I was eight, seated in the back of our VW bug. It was the early eighties and hence the pre cell phone era.

Everyone was passing the accident and no one was helping the people in the crash. There weren't any first responders in sight. We passed the crash sight and it was gruesome. Four passengers, four catatonic bloody faces, and two huge shattered holes in the front windshield.

My mom stops the car and runs to the nearest house to call for help. I sit silently in the car watching the alive, but clearly very injured, passengers stare into space rubbing blood away from their eyes. I can see the glass embedded in their skin.

My mom waits for the paramedics to arrive and then, we finally leave.

Not something I've "seen" but I once had a very vivid dream that I've never forgotten.

My mother and I were at a bank when a robber came in and pushed everyone out on a balcony from the bank. Once we were all out there, he started shooting at us with his assault gun...and I woke up screaming as I was shot.

I truly believed I was there, and will probably never forget the fear I felt.

Here's my contribution. One second this guy is driving along, and the next second his body doesn't even exist. It's hard to wrap my mind around that. (The video isn't gory, just shocking.)

I was riding in a car going down a 4-lane highway in St. Louis. I happened to look over/out my window into the car next to us and saw a guy naked from the waist down, jerking off while driving 65+ mph on the highway.

I told my friend to move far away from him...JIC.

Surveillance video of that little girl in China being run over.

Saw it here first. Though people said not to watch it. When the Mom finds her and tries to stand her up-- horrific.

For that matter, the video of those two women crossing at a crosswalk in DC at night and getting mowed down by a Metro bus -- stuck.in.my.head.

The story of the mother in NJ who's two kids got swept away from her arms in the flooding on Monday and now were found dead.

Haunting.

Yes. I remember watching that over and over. Unable to comprehend it!

I heard someone being stabbed to death outside my front door when I was 11. The sound of the screaming is embedded in my brain. It was night and I went outside to see what was happening, and saw the murderer running away. Thankfully the victim was behind some brushes next to the house so I didn't see the body.
