I think you messed up your times. I hope Jeff only busts sock puppets when they're up to no good. In this case, I would say that the poor poster who made the egregious error of using the word "politely" was just trying to defend herself, sock puppet or not. |

| Let's put an end to the sock puppet allegations here. I posted both of the rude comments but neither of the ones from the single mother. I should not have been so rude, but I was a little unnerved by the implication that anything other than a polite decline would have been warranted. The response only served to heighten my feeling that there was some pent-up anger there, as it seemed very odd to me that one would have such a strong defensive reaction to an anonymous post reacting to an insinuation of a post. But, I am sorry that pp is going through a tough time, and I shouldn't have been so rude. |

Well, you seem to be the one with the pent up anger, not the single mom. Navigating the charter school terrain is difficult. Board posters, as opposed to being focused on distracter conversations with those who appear to have A LOT of time on their hands, let's redirect our energies to the purpose of this thread...please simply state "WHAT CHARTER SPOT DID YOU RECEIVE, BUT ARE TURNING DOWN" Other commentary like asking people to be patient and to wait for a spot or the way in which one turned down a spot just leads to a downward spiral. Thanks! |

| I am planning to visit Mundo Verde tomorrow to either turn down my K spot or keep it based on answers to a few questions. I am really leaning towards declining based on a couple of factors, but just want to make sure I am making an informed decision. I will post again after my visit tomorrow. |

| I am concerned about the "drop-off/pick-up" procedures based on that location. I have also heard that the park being used for recess is on the other side of Conn. Ave. Not sure, so I just want to hear it from them. |

do they have the facility yet? I thought it was not until June? |

| They do have a facility on S street, one block north of Dupont Circle. It is currently being used by another organization, but Mundo Verde is scheduled to take over on July 1st. The exact location and photo of the building is featured on their website. |

Yes, they will utilize Mitchell Park. Information has been listed on website since the inception. No new news! |
