| I would check out etsy for cute jewlry |
| In the past 3.5 weeks I have been invited to 3 different Stella & Dot trunk shows or "parties". PLEASE for the love of all things holy, STOP bothering your friends and acquaintances with this nonsense. Stylists and those with their own "businesses", know for certain that even those of your friends who say they are excited to come over to your show and shop are just being polite and are only trying to be supportive. They love you and your friendship, not the stuff you are hawking to them. The vast majority of people know where to go to buy jewelry, scrapbooking materials, charms, face creams, household cleaners, etc, etc, if they want and need it. Please just stop ! |
| Very poor customer service when dealing with returns. Stay away. |
| Thank you to everyone. I almost sign up today to be one of the stylist. I don't want to associate myself with greedy people - cares only about the money. |
+1,000,000 I basically had to write off a SAHM friend (though now she would refer to herself as a stylist and not a SAHM) b/c I just couldn't take the sales pitches anymore. How many times can you invite the same set of women to a party to buy your crap? It's really infuriating. |
Agree totally with this! And the stuff isn't that nice. Sort of cheap looking and Fug IMO. |
One of the most true statements made as I sift through reviews, not just Stella & Dot but lia sophia also. Costume jewellery - plain and simple! Thank you for sharing your opinion! |

Customer Save Plan - When you purchase two items at regular price (lowest price items), make your third - most expensive item - HALF OFF!
When you use the Customer Save Plan you are then eligible to purchase 3 more at half off! The Hostess Benefits are awesome. "20% to 40%" of jewelry credits for your show (in-home or catalog show). A qualified show is only $250 Drastically discounted bonus items (4 items worth up to $100 each for only $15) Two items at half off Multi level merchandising is like a pyramid scheme: the one who makes the most money is at the top and the further the layers go, the less the top person works but earns from the backs of others which is why they don't host too many of their own shows.....the discounts for the hostess above, clearly show how much markup you need to have to support multi-level marketing. Don't be a fool.....you are not paying for quality jewelry or clothes or makeup or kitchen products, you are paying for the pink Cadillac that someone up the chain gets for overseeing their "sheeple". |

It would make more sense to support a local artist/jeweler. Let's support local businesses and keep our money at home.

| All of the jewelry I bought turned my skin green and looked horrible after the second wear. I just assumed it was quality metal when I bought it based on the price point. I know now that I have to ask what kind of metal it is. I have never had jewelry turn my skin green in my life. To the people claiming that this is costume jewelry... I was in musical theatre for 15 years and have worn MANY pieces of costume jewelry and none of it has ever turned my skin green or changed in appearance. This jewelry is cheap. Not worth the money at all. I will say though that I messaged the woman who sold it to me and she said she didn't know what kind of metal it was made out of. That is bonkers! She offered to have another piece sent to me. I declined. I will just syck it up and throw it away |

I agree with all of the people supporting local artisans and jewelers. There are PLENTY of awesome jewelers and crafters on Etsy and other sites. Check out www.studio451jewelry.com, great stuff! Or supporting your locally owned shops and boutiques who in turn support local artisans. There is no reason to buy these items made in China and overseas. Also check out the nominees for American Made...http://www.marthastewart.com/americanmade
A lot of this stuff is mindblowingly cool! Why do you want to wear jewelry that everyone else is wearing....go for something unique to make a real statement. I dont want to show up at a party to see that 10 other women in the room have the same necklace as me! |
| It's crap |
| Poor quality, everyone wears it, go to parties to be nice...over it |

I LOVE stella and dot. I've been to three parties and there was NO pressure at all. The girl selling the jewerly didn't pressure us at all and actually sat in another room so we could approach her when we had questions or wanted to buy something. I get complemented on their jewlerly all the time.
If you get invited to a Stella and Dot party, you should assume jewelry were there (for those saying that parties are tacky when things are being sold) It's not like you were deceived into thinking it was a party and then all of a sudden stuff was being sold! |
