Any thoughts on Chloe and Isabel jewelry? It seems like a similar business model. |
What a joke - way too expensive jewelry that takes an act of God to return if you are not happy with it. Emails are not responded to, the hold time is comical. I was on hold for over 1 1/2 hours. Yes I said 1 1/2 hrs. If your going to charge this kind of money for cheap trinkets at least have a customer service department that responds to emails and answers the phone in a timely fashion. This will be my first and definitely last time purchasing anything from this company. |
Man, there are a lot of sour grapes here. I've never been to a party, have never been invited to one, never even heard about them, and would never go to a party to buy this jewelry, or any jewelry. And I'd certainly never become a rep. But I have purchased some Stella & Dot jewelry, just online. People act as if parties are the ONLY way you can buy it. No one informed me of this. I just found them online one day because I was looking for a tassel necklace. I thought it was just a regular online store. I carefully studied the necklace and decided to give it a try and have been very happy with it. Totally ignored that there's a supposed rep for my area. I have yet to deal with a rep. If I had to I'd just return a piece and say no thank you, ma'am. I don't know what you're yapping about.
I love my tassel necklace. Could it get broken? Sure. But so could my more expensive jewelry. My necklace still fits the bill for what I was looking for. A good quality, nice-looking tassel. Now I've purchased some earrings for Christmas. We'll see how it goes. People complain about the price. Maybe I'm more realistic than most, but I don't expect the royal jewels at $34. Maybe I'm not angry like you all seem to be because I won't spend over mid 30s for Stella & Dot jewelry. I wait for a sale, or just pick the simpler pieces. I don't like gaudy, "statement" jewelry, anyway. Of course you're going to feel like it's crap for $78, haha. Want crap? Buy Forever 21 jewelry. |
I totally agree that this product is not worth what you pay. I purchased a bracelet and when I received it I was very disappointed!! The bracelet looks cheap and the "diamonds" are poorly set within the bracelet. I have seen better costume jewelry at Kohl's or Target !!! I attempted to contact the customer service line to pursue returning the bracelet only to receive the automated system telling me that it would be a 30 MINUTE WAIT FOR SOMEONE TO HELP ME !!! REALLY !!! I did call at different times hoping I had just caught them at a busy time, but no matter when you call they say it will be a 30-35 minute wait !!! That is ridiculous. So, I attempted to contact their "Live Chat" on the internet....... guess what message I received "Please hold while we connect you to an agent" and I was never connected and waited for 1 HOUR!!!! This lack of customer service and lack of quality of the product has allowed me to advise everyone I know within my LARGE circle of friends, family and acquaintances NOT TO EVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM STELLA & DOT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Sprt $200+ on 3 prices of jewelry at a friends party. My friend told me what it was for, so I knew what I was getting into. After a night of dancing I noticed one of my earrings was broken, no biggie. But, today I picked up my $100 + "statement necklace" and it fell apart in my hands. It's "statement?". "I AM A PEICE OF CRAP". lol! I don't care about the obnoxious amount of emails asking me to become a salesperson, I care that I spent a lot of money to support my friend, and the jewelry fell apert within a month and a half. I could have bought real jewelry and still had it today. I bought Premier designs stuff a few years back and all the pieces are still in tact and I wear them all the time! I am getting the jewelry replaced, but I don't even want it. ![]() |
Are y'all serious?? |
I love it!!!! |
It can happen with any jewelry! I have bought tons of stuff from Free People and all fell apart. At least Stella refunds or exchanges items for you! Y'all wouldn't know style if it slapped Ya in the face |
The teenybopper brand free people? Slapped ya? Lol. |
Everything I have bought has been poor quality. The reversible tote and the getaway bags look nothing like the pictures!!!! |
I've bought a few pieces I thought were cute. I agree, a lot of it is overpriced for the quality. Most of it has turned my skin green and/or had stones fall out. I haven't bought any of the "heirloom" pieces as they call them - if I am going to spend $100s of dollars on a piece of jewellery I want to know it's actually going to be good quality and come with good service. You can get things at Tiffany for the same price as the more-expensive Stella & Dot stuff. |
Stella and Dot is THE WORST. So overpriced for what you get. Definitely not worth it. |
Overpriced garbage. The thing that kills me is that when you go to the parties they barely even have anything to show you because it's the salesperson's own personal jewelry. So it's super awkward because you can't really even say how ugly you think something is because the jewelery you're trying on belongs to and is worn by the salesperson. I just ordered something out of the catalog because I felt obligated but what a joke. |
Oh boy. I just placed an order last Friday, and it's already shipped. After reading all these posts, I'm realizing I made a huge mistake. I didn't go to the party - so I ordered from the online link - to be nice. Then they said I will have a $75 credit to but something else, but I didn't want something else, so I told my mother to pick something out that she'd like. Now that I read all these comments, I need to go back to my mother and tell her forget it. |
Words cannot describe how disappointed I am in Stella & Dot ridiculously expensive yet poor quality made jewelry. My mother spent well over $150 dollars on a gold chain with matching earrings for me. The chain became tarnished a year later and the knob part of the earring rusted to the point whereby if I wore the earrings it would cause my earlobe piercing to became irritated which later turned into a nasty sore. I had purchased a silver necklace from them which also became tarnished and broke in a matter of months after I started wearing it. I called Stella & Dot customer care and complained about their jewelry with the intention of returning it, only to be told by the customer care associate that because I had the jewelry for over a year now there was nothing they could do about my jewelry. I WOULD NEVER EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM AGAIN. Ladies don't waste your money on poorly quality jewelry!!!!- LJ |
