What do you think about Stella and Dot jewelry?

Overpriced. I've found longer lasting items at Target and at the mall.

I wish I had searched for reviews before wasting my money. My d-i-l had a party and I bought a necklace that cost way over $100 (For costume jewelry! The only reason I let myself get sucked in was being nice to d-i-l), she bought me a necklace that was about $100 and a bracelet that was about $50. This is a ridiculous price for costume jewelry and when you see how it holds up you know you have been ripped off. The gold paint on the necklaces started wearing off right away. The silver paint on the inside of the bracelet wore off after a few wearings and some of the bangle beads fell off. I felt badly for my d-i-l and didn't say anything until 2 years later she brought up the jewelry and since it had been laying useless in my jewelry box I told her how shoddy it was and that I couldn't wear it after a few times. Then I learned or was reminded they only have a 1 year warranty (show how proud this company is of their product). She agreed to bring up the poor quality of these pieces to her representative but as I understand it, the rep doesn't care, the year warranty is up. What a waste.

wow! I'm not sure how I got here, but truly the ladies who hate getting together with other ladies at a friends' house to shop together, mingle and connect seem to all have a huge chip on their shoulder. I am a rep, and I also used to make my own jewelry with real gemstones. I think people take themselves way too seriously. This is meant to be fun and jewelry should be fun, too. this is a page full of haters. bummer. Good luck finding better quality and style elsewhere.

I have no idea how i found this thread, but i've been buying jewelry for a while now, and in comparison to all the other jewelry I buy, Stella& Dot is much less expensive than what I used to get.$100 necklaces? I used to make jewelry before kids came along and making them, using the materials i did, and the effort in creating the 'DESIGN" TOOK way more than $100. People who shop at Target for jewelry should never go to a Stella&dot get together. I see all my friends in their Stella jewelry too. We have a big presence in my area and the women all seem to love it. you ladies seem like haters.

I’m not going to buy anymore pieces. The jewelry is so cheap and junky. The rebel pendant is the only one I like!

My daughter purchased the ”Engraveable Delicate Ring-$68)
The first time she wore it, her finger turned black underneath the ring. It also showed signs of wear on the edges after just 1 day of wearing it. She was told at the time of purchase that it was sterling silver, however the description of the website just says “shiny silver finish” (maybe I missed a general statement about their jewelry being sterling, I don’t know). In my opinion, the engraving is a joke. The ring looks like something you won at a fair and put your name on with a kids engraving set. Because it was a personalized, it
has a non-refundable policy (which is so stupid because for what this ring ring them, is it really worth the negative publicity. The internet is a powerful tool). Very disappointed with the quality and company at this point.

I have to say I was very apprehensive to it when my friend who is s&d rep invited me to one of those parties. I didnt expect to buy anything but I did. The quality is good, a bit overpriced but I really like the 'lets get together and try on some stuff' party. Nowdays we spend so little time socializing. I met lovely people, helped a friend, got some nice pieces and had loads of fun. I like le it!

I have no idea how much it costs you to make jewelry but rest assured you can buy Stella & Dot pieces from the Chinese factories that make it for sub-$10 an item.
