And Whitman. And Churchill. And B-CC. Honestly, is anyone surprised who gets the white glove treatment? |
None? Your high school assignment is the one that they voted on today. That won’t change again when your 5th grader gets there. |
Not this fall but the following (Fall 2027). |
Could they once the elementary school boundaries get rezoned? |
No vote to do this. |
How would that impact a current 5th grader, who will be long gone from elementary school by the time this goes into effect? |
It allowed for changes to any secondary school (that's MS and HS) with any disruption from the ES study/closures (or left-over mess from that which they just passed). The wording was "any secondary schools that will be impacted by factors such as non-contiguous boundaries, capacity, and consolidations or closures." |
How is that a win for WJ??? im in this cluster. My 8th grader was accepted into Blair. My younger kid will not have such an opportunity. I was very against this. |
MBLI was a fraud from the start and supporting it was racist. |
| I don't live in the part of the county affected by the Crown study and don't know the racial dynamics of the Wootton vote, but anyone who voted in a way that allows the regional program model to move forward can also be called racist (Montoya!). We all know which families are most likely to participate in magnet and other special programs. |
Somehow i dont think montoya and julie are allies |
Ok |
Oh Dear |
| Churchill is only high school in the crown study that ends up over capacity (112%). Not sure how that’s a win for Churchill. A win for the outlying wayside and Potomac families who live closer to crown but didn’t want to move, but not for the rest of Churchill. |
I’ve had the same issue with her; she never responded to my emails. You have to find her at an event and talk in person. But she is also very uncomfortable with public speaking and critical questions. I recently saw her at an event where she talked about the boundary study, and you could have thought that she was an MCPS employee rather than an official with oversight. |
