Hezbollah leader urges Lebanon’s government to pull out of Israel talks
https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2026/4/13/hezbollah-leader-urges-lebanon-government-to-pull-out-of-israel-talks

Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem has rejected an upcoming meeting between the Lebanese government and Israel in the United States, calling such efforts “futile” as Israeli forces intensify their attacks on Lebanon.

In a televised speech on Monday, Qassem called on the government to take “a historic and heroic stance” by not attending the planned talks.

Qassem said the talks are a ploy to pressure Hezbollah into laying down its weapons.

“Israel clearly states that the goal of these negotiations is to disarm Hezbollah, as [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu repeatedly states. So, how can you go to negotiations whose objective is already clear?” Qassem said.

"They said it was a ceasefire. Like all these people, we went up to the village. We went to the casket to read the prayers and walk home... suddenly we felt like a storm was landing right on us," said Nasser Saeed.

On Sunday, he joined other relatives in the southern port city of Tyre to pick up the bodies wrapped in green cloth. One of them, a fraction the size of the rest, contained his granddaughter Taleen.

"Where are the human rights? If a child - a child! - is wounded in Israel, the whole world jumps up. Are we not people? Are we not humans? We're like them!" he said.

Taleen was born in 2024, in the last round of fierce clashes between Hezbollah and Israel.

"She was born in the war and died in the war," said Mohammed Nazzal, Ghinwa's father

They've been killing those who seek peace and negotiators since the inception of Israel. No surprise here.

Where's that mouth breather on this site who was all in a kerfuffle about, there's so such thing as the most moral army conducting triple taps?

The fact that incidents like this do not evoke a single iota of introspection for zionistjews tells you how decrepit their souls are. They deserve as much empathy as they express. Not a single drop more.

Israeli triple-tap strike kills three paramedics in Lebanon, officials say
https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cgqkkxd09e2o

Three successive Israeli attacks have killed at least three paramedics in southern Lebanon, including one featured in a BBC report this week, Lebanese officials say, as they accuse Israel of deliberately targeting health workers in its war against Hezbollah.

A team from the Islamic Health Association was attacked as it tried to rescue people from the site of an Israeli attack in the town of Mayfadoun, in the Nabatieh region on Wednesday, according to the Lebanese health ministry. One paramedic was killed and a second remains missing.

When a second team from the Islamic Health Association headed to the site, it too was attacked, and three paramedics were wounded, the ministry said. Then, two ambulances of the Risala Scout Association and the Nabatieh Ambulance Service, which had been deployed to the site, were also attacked. Two paramedics were killed and three others wounded.

IDF to south Lebanon residents: Do not return south of the Litani despite ceasefire
https://www.israelnationalnews.com/flashes/683502

IDF Arabic-language spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Avichay Adraee, issued a warning to residents of southern Lebanon not to return to localities south of the Litani River, even after the ceasefire agreement went into effect.

“The IDF continues to remain deployed in its positions in southern Lebanon in the face of Hezbollah’s ongoing terrorist activity. For the sake of your security and the safety of your families, and until further notice, you are required not to move south of the Litani River," he stated.

From NYT “ Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israeli troops would remain in southern Lebanon, where they have seized territory.”

So it was a land grab. Why is not focus of the news today?

Filthy and disgusting settler colony.

Similar to Gaza, there must have been Hezbollah hiding under each house or residential building.

How can anyone ever feel an ounce of compassion for the settlers?

The kept receipts will be waved in faces one day.

Lebanese return to 'unliveable' areas as ceasefire with Israel mostly holds
https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/lebanese-trickle-home-ceasefire-with-israel-mostly-holds-2026-04-17/

People uprooted by the war in Lebanon began returning to devastated towns and neighbourhoods on Friday, with many finding their homes destroyed or uninhabitable and hesitant to stay for fear a ceasefire between Hezbollah and ‌Israel could unravel.

U.S. President Donald Trump said on Friday that the United States had banned Israel from further bombing in Lebanon, a day after he announced the 10-day ceasefire. The agreement between Lebanon and Israel has added to optimism that the parallel war between the United States and Iran could be nearing an end.

In the Hezbollah-controlled southern suburbs of Beirut, hills of rubble stood where there had once been apartment blocks and the smell of death hung in the air. Ali Hamza said he found his home intact, but that people were scared to return for now.

"It is impossible to live in these circumstances, and with these smells. A full return is difficult now, despite the hardship of displacement." He had gathered school books from the house: "We lost everything; we don't want them to lose the school year."

In Qasmiyeh in southern Lebanon, cars were driving across a makeshift crossing over the Litani River, hastily erected after the ceasefire came into effect at midnight local time (2100 GMT). Israel destroyed all the bridges over the Litani during the war, blowing up the one at Qasmiyeh on Thursday.

Israel is the worst state in the past 100 years. Bar none. The whatabouts and howabouts are in direct response to what Israel has done. If Hezbollah shoots a single bullet it will be in response to Israeljews. If they launch another rocket it will be in response to Israeljews. This is long past time to blame everything that happens in the ME from right now into the foreseeable future on Israeljews. Until they can force themselves to stop the bloodshed addiction.

Hezbollah chief says truce can't be one-sided, vows response to Israeli attacks
https://www.turkiyetoday.com/region/hezbollah-chief-says-truce-cant-be-one-sided-vows-response-to-israeli-attacks-3218357

Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem said Saturday that the ongoing 10-day ceasefire with Israel cannot be one-sided and outlined conditions he said are necessary for peace, including a full halt to Israeli attacks on Lebanon, a complete Israeli withdrawal, the release of prisoners, the return of displaced residents and a large-scale reconstruction effort backed by Arab support.

In a statement read on television, Qassem said the truce that took effect at midnight Thursday cannot continue unless it is upheld by both sides.

"A ceasefire means a complete cessation of all hostilities. Because we do not trust this enemy, the resistance fighters will remain in the field with their hands on the trigger, and they will respond to violations accordingly," Qassem said.

"There is no ceasefire from the side of the resistance only, it must be from both sides," he added.

Qassem said the first requirement for the truce to hold is the permanent cessation of air, land and sea "aggression" against Lebanon. He also demanded that Israel completely withdraw from Lebanon.

Qassem said the next steps would focus on the release of prisoners and the return of residents to their homes in border areas.

He said a final stage would involve a massive reconstruction campaign, coupled with international Arab support.

He also offered his first reaction since the ceasefire came into force, with terms shared by the U.S. State Department.

Qassem said it was "an insult to our country and our homeland, Lebanon, that America dictates its text and speaks on behalf of the Lebanese government."

Interesting how IDF admission to war crimes is ordinary behavior. Their orders are to kill whoever they want. This is why everyone they kill is labeled as a terrorist.

‘Every threatening figure here is a terrorist’
https://www.ynetnews.com/article/ryyxoffawx

Crossing the border, what was once a tense front line now appears as a transformed battlefield. For the first time since the end of Operation Northern Arrows in November 2024, and just after the ceasefire took effect, the IDF allowed Israeli journalists into the area, where five divisions operated to establish a new security zone.

Col. Eric Moyal, commander of the Nahal Brigade, leaves little room for ambiguity. Looking beyond what the IDF calls the “yellow line,” he describes a fundamentally different security reality.

“Right now, any threat I identify that endangers the forces, we open fire on it,” he said. “We’ve seen people moving in the area even without weapons, but the directive is clear: if there is a threat, it is removed. Even if we have to apologize later.”

Moyal added that the rules of engagement are unambiguous. “The soldier knows he is going on a mission and can use firepower to eliminate any enemy he encounters. He is not dealing with dilemmas about lines or permissions. The instructions are very clear. Any threatening figure here is, from our perspective, a terrorist.”

Israeli attacks on Lebanon may amount to war crimes, UN rights office says
https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2026/3/17/israeli-attacks-on-lebanon-may-amount-to-war-crimes-un-rights-office-says

Israeli attacks on residential buildings and civilian infrastructure in Lebanon may amount to war crimes, the United Nations human rights office says as the Israeli military pummels its northern neighbour as part of the wider war engulfing the Middle East.

At a news briefing on Tuesday in Geneva, a spokesperson for UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk said hundreds of homes and other buildings, including healthcare facilities, have been destroyed in intensified Israeli strikes on the capital, Beirut, and other parts of the country.

Thameen al-Kheetan noted that displaced Lebanese civilians living in tents along the Beirut seafront were killed in Israeli strikes while other attacks since early March also have killed at least 16 health workers.

“International humanitarian law demands distinction between military targets and civilians and civilian objects and insists on feasible precautions being taken to protect civilians. Deliberately attacking civilians or civilian objects amounts to a war crime,” al-Kheetan said.

“In addition, international law provides for specific protections for healthcare workers as well as people at heightened risk, such as the elderly, women and displaced people.”

At least 912 people, including 111 children, have been killed and 2,221 wounded in Israel’s attacks on Lebanon since March 2, according to the latest figures from the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health.

The Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights also expressed concern over the displacement crisis, noting that Israel’s orders for residents of southern Lebanon to leave their homes “may amount to forced displacement, prohibited under international humanitarian law”.

“With this displacement comes a wide array of human rights concerns. Proper healthcare, sufficient food and drinking water are lacking,” al-Kheetan said.

“Education has been interrupted for another academic year, freedom of movement no longer exists, and livelihoods have now been lost. And while people are displaced, Israeli attacks are destroying and damaging their houses, farmland and other civilian infrastructure.”
