They sells tons of processed and frozen stuff |
So? Obviously the PP was referring to fresh food. |
I find it remarkable that so many people in this thread are fixated on stocking up on the quickest perishables. Bread, milk, and eggs will last through February. I guarantee most shoppers are stocking up on that, chips, hot chocolate mix, and booze. |
So don’t buy that. |

There’s nothing more American than panic hoarding! |
I was listening to a bread book author on The Splendid Table last year and he said either counter or freezer, but bread will become stale faster in the fridge. There is one brand/type of bread that gets moldy quickly, so it's stored in the fridge, but even for that bread, the freezer is probably better. https://www.tiktok.com/@thesplendidtable/video/7480994475980983582 (I don't have tiktok but I'm able to listen to the above snippet.) |
| Capital Weather Gang is now making this sound like it could be huge on FB. |
So is Doug on news4 |
CWG seems to be on board with generally 10-12”, Doug on News4 seemed more enthusiastic this afternoon and said “10-12 PLUS” Either way, I’m thinking no school next week. Nothing to fight about, they only had 2 full days anyway. If they were supposed to have a full week, the calls would be a lot more “interesting.” |
Doug said it depends if ice mixes in. A general estimate is around 12. Maybe as high as 20. As low as 6 with ice. I think theyre off the whole week too. |
| OP here. I’m getting pretty excited! |
I’m glad I don’t have to hate you for jinxing it, OP. 😜 |
