Snowstorm next weekend?

Models are all over the place. I’ve seen 1-2” so not much all the way up to 18+”. Interestingly the map that showed us with a small amount had a huge amount, like 12” or more, in Virginia Beach and eastern NC.

Weather forecaster said don't get too excited.

Tried of the social media meteorologist pages. They hype up storms way in advance to get clicks and likes.some are responsible but others show images of the craziest model scenarios to get people excited and engaging with their content. I wouldn’t put any stock into a forecast until at least midweek. The ones hyping a big storm right now have an agenda.

My kid's birthday party is scheduled for next Sunday so it would be kind of funny if we got a ton of snow. Fortunately, he'll be happy playing in the snow.

We haven’t had a big snow storm this year yet. I’m ready!

Who knows? We sure did not get snow here yesterday--just a brief flurry on Saturday.

It is because of the data centers.

Look at the snow hole map from the past few years compared to the data center map.

This is funny but my app now shows 22 inches for Sunday. Obviously will change.

The amount of snow locally is fickle: it could be two inches, it could be 22 inches. They will know more a couple of days before.

I think Doug is hopeful, but knows it could fall apart. We just have to wait on this one.

It’s been years since we had a big snow storm.

Ten to be exact!

The set up for this one looks promising. We will definitely have the cold air. No question about that. All will be revealed later this week.

Yeah, DH is making sure we have enough gas for the big snow blower that we have. I picked up extra bottled water on the way home.

Lol.

That would certainly be a lot.

1/23/16 was the storm where we got 30” of snow and they did not go to school for ten days!
