So we're going to use taxpayer dollars to get all these people from around the world to Quantico on a last minute basis so a TV host can lecture career soldiers on "warrior ethos"?

Could this administration just go 1 day without being completely embarrassing?

It’s also a demonstration of power - Hegseth is reminding them, and all of us, that he CAN summon them.

I don’t know how wise of an idea I think that is. Not sure I’d want to incentivize the military brass to start thinking about how to organize against my “leadership.”

That’s not what it’s telling me. It’s telling me he is bush league and cry baby who needs to show people who’s boss because his ego is bruised. What risk is involved in this circus show? 1) if it is just for show and dressing down then it’s embarrassing, it can be done by video conference without the security risks 2) if there is a real threat, bringing them all to one place is an even bigger risk. It’s just another day of circus acts and chaos.

All of the above can be true. It’s a demonstration of power because he’s a bush league crybaby, waaayyyyyy out of his depth.

I mean spending millions to bring all these generals and admirals to sit in a room and listen to a ball of alcoholic hair gel lecture them about the "warrior ethos" or "lethality" is ridiculous.

The Republican Party is beyond pathetic. The GOP is North Korea at this point.

Thanks for the laugh. I don't know why that excessive hair gel bothers me so much, but it does, especially for someone working with the military. Either keep your hair cut shorter or don't wear SO MUCH hair gel. It makes him look vain and unserious.

My wife bought a used Ford Escape from him in 2015.

It gets better… none of these guys travel alone. WE are paying millions to fly in each of these guys and their entourage. They have support staff and likely security.

I’d also be willing to bet that Quantico doesn’t have sufficient appropriate housing for these guys (hopefully someone with firsthand base knowledge will chime in), so that means hotel bills. And why do I get the feeling they’ll be staying at a Trump property???!!

I live a few miles from his country club in Sterling. I’ll keep a lookout for any of them.

How is he our Secretary of Defense? He is just such a sad, pathetic man.

Id rather these people focus on warrior ethos and calling people names than real policy. If it keeps them busy while we keep the country running Im all for it.

Matt Gaetz took one for the team so Hegseth, Gabbard, RFK Jr and Linda McMahon could slip through.
