Think he has a chance?

Trump is an atheist, so he's not going to heaven, even if there were one.

Literally nothing that he has done or said indicates that he’s an atheist.

Of course not. He's playing religious people. I've never met an atheist who didn't (reluctantly) think Trump was one too.

Not trolling. Atheists don't like to think Trump is an atheist because they don't identify with him at all. Some atheists think all atheists are better than religious people because they figured out that there is no God.

I have never met an atheist who thought he was one.

Nothing he has ever said or done indicates that he's an atheist. You're trolling.

Not trolling. Atheists don't like to think Trump is an atheist because they don't identify with him at all. Some atheists think all atheists are better than religious people because they figured out that there is no God. Sorry, but we're not. We're just smarter in that one regard. Otherwise, we can be anything. And Trump does not believe in God. Probably never did.

You're basing that on your feelings, not facts.

I really DGAF what he thinks, but he has said on multiple occasions that he is a Christian and/or believes in god/heaven.

Nothing that he has done or said - literally nothing - has indicated that he doesn't believe in a god.

LOL he doesn't know thing one about Christianity. Not thing one. So I'm not sure what God he believes in really.

Ok. Not a requirement for believing in god.

Being familiar with Christianity is not a requirement for believing in God, but it is a requirement for practicing Christianity. He is not a practicing Christian. Putting up Christmas decorations or hosting Easter egg hunts doesn’t make you a practicing Christian. Posing for a photo op with a Bible someone just ran out and bought for you doesn’t make you a practicing Christian. Selling Bibles doesn’t make you a practicing Christian.

Believing in god and Jesus makes him a Christian.

Everything else is optional.

If he doesn't know anything about Jesus then how can he believe in Jesus? It's clear he does not know Christ. It's clear he had not accepted Christ. If he had,he wouldn't do and say the things he does. That would be impossible.

Ask the millions of “Christians” who believe in god but aren’t deeply religious and haven’t “accepted Christ”. Not all believers are fundamentalist extremists.

NO ONE is claiming he’s a Bible beater, just that he believes in god and wants to get into heaven.

They’re not getting into heaven either.
+1
A fundamentalist Christian is a born again Christian, the only kind of Christian going to heaven.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. (John 3:3)

Not everyone interprets it that way. It could mean when you're born again as in rise up and go to heaven.
You become born again:

He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. (Mark 16:16)

The Bible is clear. If your faith is not in Jesus, and you see the Bible as untrue, or a bunch of metaphors instead of God’s word, your interpretations are incorrect: you are not born again.

If a denomination’s teaching does not align with the Bible, that is a very strong indicator that denomination has fallen away from the truth.

People who are not born again will attempt to weasel out of what Jesus said:

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)

Not by your denomination’s teachings (unless squared with scripture), not by Allah, Mary, Buddha, any Hindu god or idol, nor thinking your good deeds will get you into heaven.

You must be born again.

I'll defend PP for a moment. If you actually read through the Bible, both the Old Testament and New, it is very clear in what it takes to be judged worthy of entering into heaven. The more liberal Christian institutions are misleading their flocks.

Yeah? How? Cite actual examples.
One example of a liberal Christian institution misleading its flock is the Episcopal Church of the Holy Cross in Dunn Loring.

On the Vision and Mission section of its website there is the shameful Pride flag and BLM logo. Its mission is: to celebrate diversity [code word for homosexuality], offer inspiring worship, serious engagement with questions of faith, commitment to serving our neighbors and the world, and opportunities for fun…

Nowhere is Jesus mentioned or God’s word, the Bible.

If you look at its clergy and staff, it has a woman leader and all of her staff are women.

This church is false, leading people to Hell. When you ignore the Bible you go astray.

A mark of a false church is one with a woman leader because it refuses to adhere to this command in 1 Timothy 2:12

But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

This church is a denomination which ordains homosexuals which would be no different if it ordained pedophiles and drunks. It goes out of its way to twist scripture to deny what the Bible clearly teaches, which is that Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because of homosexuality (abomination).

A person who is born again would flee this church because it is not of God, not holy, and glorifies unrighteousness.

Presbyterians have women clergy too. Does this put them is the same category as Epsicopalians? Trump is Presbyterian.

There are two different Presbyterians. One is very conservative (PCA) and doesn't allow female ministers. PCUSA is very liberal.

Trump is associated with PCUSA - the liberal branch of Presbyterianism.

To be a Christian Trump supporter is to emphasize law over grace, pride over humility, and elevating the powerful over the weak. It is to turn the Sermon on the Mount upside down by hating your enemies, not turning the other cheek, seeking outsized retaliation for perceived wrongs, and laying up treasures on earth rather than in heaven. It is to ignore the log in your own eye while focusing on the speck in another’s. It is giving out stones and serpents instead of bread and fish. It is embracing false prophets who preach prosperity instead of the whole counsel of God. It is to look on someone’s outward appearance rather than at their heart. It is using the Ten Commandments as a cudgel instead of a guide to life.

I Agree - without all the Biblical allusions - but Christians who support Trump don't see it that way. I bet that they can find Biblical allusions that support Trump.

Trump is an atheist, so he's not going to heaven, even if there were one.

Trump is a unaware agnostic.

He doesn't think, so can't reach a conclusion, which atheism requires.

I disagree. Trump is an atheist. a born atheist. Actually, we all are. We don't believe in any gods. We also can't walk or talk or go to the bathroom. We learn different languages and in the US, we believe in Santa Claus as children (if we're Christian), but some of us never believe in God. I think that Trump is one of these. An atheist is simply someone who doesn't believe in God. An agnostic doesn't know. No one knows, actually, but no one knows if fairies exist either and no one believes in them. No adults anyhow.

He got elected as the US president, so apparently a lot of American Christians supported him.
