Most Christians are NOT fundamentalists. |
| Blessed are the peacemakers! |
Correct. Most Protestant Christians are Lutheran, Episcopalian, UCC, etc. |
I'll defend PP for a moment. If you actually read through the Bible, both the Old Testament and New, it is very clear in what it takes to be judged worthy of entering into heaven. The more liberal Christian institutions are misleading their flocks. |
Please tell us what t takes to be judged worthy of entering heaven. Also, please be specific about how liberal Christian institutions are misleading people. |
Please tell us what IT takes ..... |
I believe in a good diet and exercise and want to be thin and fit. And yet I overeat junk and sit on the couch. What do you think -- will I achieve my goal? |
Yeah? How? Cite actual examples. |
I get it -- you don't get into heaven by being cruel to people you don't like while on earth. |
This doesn't make any sense. Liberal Christian institutions want their flocks to get into heaven as much as conservative Christian institutions do. |
But apparently if you're just really really sorry, everything is fine! I'm sorry I can't buy into this.born again stuff because of it. I remember at Youth Group being told that a mass murderer would get into heaven if he repented on his death bed, and I have just never been able to reconcile that. That's a really grim view on God if he's willing to forgive rape and murder but not doubt. |
One example of a liberal Christian institution misleading its flock is the Episcopal Church of the Holy Cross in Dunn Loring. On the Vision and Mission section of its website there is the shameful Pride flag and BLM logo. Its mission is: to celebrate diversity [code word for homosexuality], offer inspiring worship, serious engagement with questions of faith, commitment to serving our neighbors and the world, and opportunities for fun… Nowhere is Jesus mentioned or God’s word, the Bible. If you look at its clergy and staff, it has a woman leader and all of her staff are women. This church is false, leading people to Hell. When you ignore the Bible you go astray. A mark of a false church is one with a woman leader because it refuses to adhere to this command in 1 Timothy 2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. This church is a denomination which ordains homosexuals which would be no different if it ordained pedophiles and drunks. It goes out of its way to twist scripture to deny what the Bible clearly teaches, which is that Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because of homosexuality (abomination). A person who is born again would flee this church because it is not of God, not holy, and glorifies unrighteousness. |
Is PP for real? Seems like a caricature of a fundamentalist. |
Presbyterians have women clergy too. Does this put them is the same category as Epsicopalians? Trump is Presbyterian. |
Not every church within a denomination is apostate. Any church with women or homosexual clergy is an unbiblical church and highly suspect of apostasy: falling away from the faith to embrace a gospel that pleases people (it’s love, not sin!) instead of God, who commanded, “Be ye holy; for I am holy.” The litmus test for a born again Christian, as opposed to a cultural Christian, is adherence to the Bible. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16) |
