Trump Planning “7 Nights of Action” in DC

2. Addiction can be the manifestation of untreated mental health issues, such as severe ADHD, bipolar disorder, severe depression, severe anxiety, etc. Users self-medicate with drugs. Again, this can happen to anyone with serious mental health issues who does not receive a diagnosis and successful treatment.

3. Stop accusing addicts of being lazy or morally deficient or lacking willpower. I guarantee that if I give you the right cocktail of drugs, you will be an addict too, and will have a terribly hard time digging yourself out. And maybe you never will.

I’ve lived here 25 years and have never had even a package stolen and don’t know a single person who is a victim of crime.

But neither my anecdote or yours is relevant nor your made up extrapolation…that’s like me saying there must be zero crime because I have never been a victim.

What neighborhood are you in? Would be helpful context. I’m in LaFayette ES area and I’d say almost 50% of neighborhood have had a package stolen or car window smashed. Most do not call police because they know it would be pointless and could potentially hurt property values.

I live in the Janney ES catchment area and have never had a package stolen here. We did have one package stolen off our porch in the ten years we lived in Petworth. And I once had a grill taken off my patio in Dupont Circle, but possibly by the condo association.

I wouldn’t say I spend any time worrying about porch theft. I also wouldn’t say package theft is likely to be addressed in any way by whatever show of force the White House has in mind.

This made me laugh out loud because condo association is no doubt equally suspect in these neighborhoods.

That woman is lying. I live in Lafayette boundary and she’s just making up statistics. Nobody is not calling the police for property value, probably just think it will come to nothing.

Not a chance and thank god for that. But it is black teens and tweens that we are dealing with which has meant thus far, let's ignore it and hopefully it will just go away on its own. Classic soft bigotry of NO expectations.

It’s a lot more complicated than that. Juries won’t convict. I was on a jury for a black on black attempted carjacking. Two young people—one black and one white said they wouldn’t convict. He was a serial carjacker (googled him after) and the defense attorney maligned the victim who had a criminal record. It was sad and disturbing. Several ambulances and one police car didn’t stop for this man calling for help. The store where it happened ignored the summons.

Also white boys get off all the time.

This website has been taken over by MAGA

By "MAGA," are you referring to anyone who is even slightly conservative? Because that's what you tend to do when someone disagrees with you: label them "MAGA". Plenty of people live in the DMV who are not LWNJs - sorry to disappoint.

MAGA has nothing to do with conservatives. MAGA is just a bunch of mentally ill people who embrace a false god.

Once again - you seem to label anyone who isn't 100% on board with your views, "MAGA". Ever stop to think how ridiculous that is?

Trumps 7 night of action is a MAGA move I actually approve of.

Don’t cut off your nose just to spite your face.

DP. You realize the PP used the correct spelling, right? What a self-own on your part.

That may not be how you spell it in DCPS, but it’s actually the correct way. So, there’s that.
