ASA parent arrested

I have read the charge document and warrant as well as the court order. I cannot understand why a mother or father would

(1) leave a child with another man (defendant) when someone EXPLICITLY told the mom and dad that this man is a pedophile abuser — did they not even ask their own children at that point??? — and how was this behavior “remaining vigilant”???;

(2) take a nap while leaving their child in a suspicious man’s custody, and then **bring gin** up (on a Saturday afternoon) to drink with defendant;

(3) allow him to return to a bedroom alone with the young girl even after coming back to his apartment from napping;

(4) let their daughter sit in another man’s lap!!!!;

(5) literally walk in on the child sitting on the man’s head and just WALK AWAY!!! WTF!!!!

This whole thing sounds like some type of orgy or throuple or affair while the kids are getting sexually abused. I hope they are doing fitness tests for the parents, who exercised remarkable negligence as well.

This mama heart is fully broken for these babies, and I can’t reconcile any of the decisions the parents made.

They should send out an email based on something they “heard“? Obviously information should be disseminated once verified by authorities. But since they sent the initial email families should be checking in with their kids regardless.

DC Police had a report about the abuse to the first victim back in 2023 and did nothing. For the sake of the children on MVP, information should be sent out quickly. If you’re waiting for DC police to verify that these victims are on MVP Dolphins, you might be waiting awhile.

If you read the case report, it appears that at least one of the victims was a summer swim teammate.

I don't understand why you think this is a swim problem or MVP problem. So far, the victims are neighbors in the same apartment building.

Because I have a child who is impacted and we have privacy concerns, I made phone calls to the detective on the case who then contacted the prosecuting attorney. If you have a child who was impacted, you can request that your child be completely anonymous in the forensic interview and all legal documents - no initials. They can be referred to as Jane or John Doe.

We need as many victims as possible to come forward, to ensure that this monster's attorney fails and he, Thomas, goes to prison.
