I haven’t read most of the responses and have not bothered googling and don’t care to. But I want to tell you that I have no idea what the small hands reference is talking about. I’ve seen a couple of you saying it and feel like the taco and small hands is some inside joke at a party that I’m not part of.

Small hands AKA weak, incapable, probably lacking in the manhood department. (Small hands, small.....)

At Spy magazine in the 1980s and 90s, long before Trump was in politics, they used to make fun of Trump for having short fingers (his nickname in the magazine was "The Short Fingered Vulgarian"). If you look at pictures, he does indeed have small hands and weirdly stubby fingers. Apparently it got under his skin. Anyway, that's where it began.

It's from a Graydon Carter article from like 30 years ago where he called Trump a "short fingered vulgarian." Trump was very offended and would periodically send him pics with his hands circled when he thought he had a flattering shot of them looking large and where his fingers didn't look short and fat. Seriously.

Graydon Carter masterfully trolls trump in his new memoir.

As the parent of a trans kid, I have to agree. Some of you don’t realize you’re weaponizing our children. Fix the overarching issues and it will help protect our children. If this was a pride March, it would be a completely different story.

+100. I support trans kids. But - many people dislike autocracy but get confused about what to do if they think trans kids are getting too many rights. Focus on democracy and then we can protect everyone.

Every special interest group weakens the message, and makes it easier to dismiss the left, because the reader doesn't know any trans people, or immigrants, or whatever. Autocracy is causing all these problems. Address the root problem.

I agree with this but not for the reasons you state. I think it’s simply that we need to stay on message. This is about immigration not everything else. Liberals get very caught up in trying to make intersectionality happen and it just turns people off - including me, a lifelong Dem.
