Don't worry folks, Trump is going to stop deportations of farm and hotel workers. All's good.

We did - but it was just called immigration back then. |
Rule of law restored. Wages up. |
No, it was called American farmers. I know because my entire family is in the farming community and tired of being priced out by illegal labor. |
Same argument made by slave owners in 1860 |
Food used to be a much larger portion of Americans' household budgets. In 1950, it was about 30%. Now it's around 10%. Immigration makes our food cheaper. |
Free trade does too but MAGA doesn’t like that either. |
Maybe in your little corner. But across most of America, farmers have been relying on foreign laborers for DECADES. I remember Mexican farm workers from when I was a kid and I'm now pushing 60. You definitely don't speak for most of the American ag industry. Even in the 1950s close to 30% of US farm workers were foreign migrants. That grew over time to be over 50% by 2000. It grew over time REGARDLESS of who was President or who controlled Congress. Yet you dolts want to try and gaslight us and pretend this is some sudden new occurrence, in fact an "InVAsIOn!!!!" and it's all Joe Biden's fault. |
TACO time. Told ya, MAGA. All bread and circuses for you. |
All true and this is why Clinton, Bush, and Obama pushed Congress to pass immigration reform to suit the needs of modern America. We need foreign laborers to be able to come her legally with prior authorization. These are called work visas. The letting all the unvetted people in and then kicking them all out policies of Trump and Biden are chaotic, dangerous, and completely asinine. |
Why? Are customers at his golf resorts starting to complain about the lack of service? |
We can discuss future immigration policies after the millions of people staying here illegally are removed. First we get a working border, then we reevaluate. |
The bipartisan border bill would have helped do that but Trump had the House Republicans kill it. |
It's absurd to think we "need" agriculture workers. We have one of the most productive agriculture sectors. Compared to the Chinese who employee 10% of there population in agriculture we only need 1-2% of our population are employed in agriculture. We are a net exporter of food. Americans also waste a large proportion of food. We really don't need agriculture workers. Agriculture is pretty much a solved problem in America. |
Tell me you’re not a business leader without telling me. That’s a great way to run one into the ground. Myopia is for the birds. |
