There isn't one officially but they have closest ties to prep. and many of the students interact there the most (Sibling, friends, bf/gf)

My daughter doesn't like being photographed so she usually looks out for pictures and moves away but it isn't 100% perfect. It's sad that in the age we are in today school choose to post kids for likes.

School was/is frustrated that families were not enforcing the kilt length rule at home so they started aggressively cracking down at school, but in the end I’m not sure it made a difference. US girls wear sneakers of their choice unless it’s a dress day.

People don't follow the uniform? It's not even strict though.

The girls push the kilt length rules by either wearing a too short kilt or rolling it up at the waist to make it shorter. School cracks down on that but many parents don’t reinforce the rule at home and that frustrates admin.

And girls who do follow the uniform code are teased.

When can I expect to be emailed my child's class list? (New family)

And do they allow kids to print out their own copies from online and then staple it or do you need to buy the actual book? I've never been to a school where I had to buy books so I was confused.

Yes I was shocked at first too. But whatever you do don't buy the books off of the website doing that will make it crazy expensive (400+). Go onto amazon and buy the used paperback version (I did this and got a 100+ book for 15$). If you can't find it on amazon go to different site until you do. The earlier you buy the better because for some book there will only be a few in stock. Me and my family do this and we got an order that was supposed to be 461$ down to 71$.

Mater Dei through middle school and Georgetown Prep for high school. Not a ton of events together but some in high school.

Prep’s sister school is Visitation, not Stone Ridge.

I don’t think SR has a formal connection to a boys’ school. The Sacred Heart schools typically don’t.

I think Visa's brother school is Gonzaga.

This is definitely true. The closest all boys school to SR is Prep.

That’s probably traditionally true, but prep is a HS while SR is pk-12. So a lot families who have daughters at SR send their sons to Landon or Mater Dei.

If you are class of 2029 (I'm a returning parent) Your child's classes are: Introduction to Literature, World History I, Physics I, Scripture, Math, World Language, and Arts.

The math and world language placement will come out late next week.

How much do the used uniforms cost? Is it better to but those than to buy it new?

Does the school have detention? How do they usually deal with punishments?

I don’t think detention in private school is a thing. For serious issues, they call the parents and if the parents can’t get the child together, eventually they’ll be suspended/expelled and their enrollment contract won’t be renewed. At SR the girls get infractions for minor issues, and if they get enough of them, they may lose some sort of privileges, subject to teacher discretion.

Agree with above except detention IS a thing in some private schools, namely Gonzaga, which enforces rules with JUG (Justice Under God).
