It's quite surprising with who we have as our Sheriff, that's for sure. When ICE raids were announced, I thought for sure that Loudoun would be a big target and Chapman would be on board to assist since he's such a big Trump 'yes man'. However, I've seen very little about ICE raids or arrests in my part of Loudoun. All the usual areas where the undocumented hung out for jobs are still heavily populated with them. |
They had an administrative warrant. That is what is stated by the affiant in the probable cause affidavit. That is different that a judicial warrant. The latter may be executed wherever (consistently with any other legal or constitutional restraints - though those don't exist under Trump). The former are merely investigatory. In the nature of a subpoena. You can't serve those anywhere you want. |
It is in the complaint. There apparently was a footchase, but it is clear there were multiple opportunities to arrest him well before that because he literally rode down the elevator and then walked out of the courthouse standing next to one of the DEA agents. "At approximately 8:50 a.m., DEA Agent A alerted other members of the arrest team that DEA Agent A was on the elevator with Flores-Ruiz." |
No, we are defending the gd Constitution that affords DUE PROCESS to all. I think he should be deported and I hope he is again. But it needs done the legal way. JFC, how do you not understand the difference? if you're fine with no due process for the brown illegals, then I hope you'll be ok with no due process when it is your turn to be rounded up. |
That's what I'm getting from pp's post. Trump is above the law. Anyone he disagrees with can be arrested for anything. |
This is insane. Other than ensuring he the correct person what process is due? So if someone makes their way into our country we cannot make them leave without a time and resources consuming hearing? What about visa overstays? Hearings for them? There would be no reason to have a border or a nation-state |
You can't barge in to a judge's courtroom. Wait outside. It's not hard. Arresting judges on fake charges that will get tossed is not the way to remove illegal immigrants. I can't see why you think it would be. |
You are arresting and sending Americans citizens to prisons in El Salvador. If you do not believe in the constitution denounce your citizens and move to Russia, North Korea or Israel. |
So what? |
OMG. Trump has broken your brains. *Shrieks for weeks about Due Process and the rule of law* *proceeds to rationalize a judge breaking the law because it might have been a disturbance to otherwise enforce the law.* |
So there's no actual crime here. She let the guy exit from a side door. That's it. She didn't "hide" him or "sneak him out" or anything. The guy went out a side door of the courtroom and then into the public hall where they could have arrested him at any time, but for whatever reason decided to follow him outside until he started running and they had to chase him. |
***If the allegations are materially true***, then this judge used her office to interfere with law enforcement because she appears to disagrees with the policy choices of the President of the United States. If she doesn’t get the maximum sentence permissible to be served at SuperMax, then I don’t want to hear squat about Due Process and the rule of law. The legal system is getting its gut check moment. |

So she abetted instead of informing him to wait for the agents. |
