I'm going to call you out on this. I just took the time to look at those comments, and I don't see what you see... because it isn't there.

What I see is a couple of teachers who were frustrated because they changed their lesson plans to "accommodate [their] students only to be told 'never mind'". Another said it was a "major disruption to classroom plans." I did see ONE teacher write that it "reduces morale" and that the county "gave a gift and then took it away." That was ONE teacher. ONE. Overall? There are teachers who already spent time accommodating a delay who now have to throw away that wasted work. Yes, that's a frustration... and it happened because teachers worked ahead to help YOUR child have a useful day on a 2-hour delay.

I'm done letting DCUM posters insult my profession. I will not allow you to say that teachers "don't care". I won't allow you to imply that we are lazy and don't want to come in at our "regularly scheduled time."

Too many of us work too hard for this disrespect.

Did you really dig into all these profiles and research posters’ jobs? Did you Google names? This was worth your time? Your hate of teachers is next level and alarming. Worrisome, even.

And after all that unnecessary work, most of those comments aren’t even that bad. They don’t even paint the picture of horrible, complaining teachers you’re trying to sell.

Eh it doesn't look great. Entitled and disconnected from the rest of the world where everyone has been expected to go to work on time all week. And had one day off for the last snow storm (if they didn't telework on the first day), not 3.

And it makes you wonder how much of the snow decisions are "gifts" to teachers which is gross given the impacts on kids and families.

Based on how teachers are treated in MCPS, delays are definitely not for the benefit of teachers.

An Arcola teacher teacher disagrees with you. She'll probably complain to MCEA like the Roberto Clemente teacher called for.

Those aren't mutually exclusive. Some teachers are dedicated and hard working. Some have selfish and entitled attitudes, particularly when it comes to adding unscheduled days off or delays that may provide a break for teachers, but hurt students and families. Some fall into both groups.

Well, I took a look at just 2 of those profiles. Neither were teachers, even though the PP claimed they are. So it’s nothing other than a smear campaign.

So you can attribute those statements to parents, members of the MoCo community, etc.

They are. Sometimes they use maiden names in the MCPS staff directory. In one case, what's on facebook isn't their full name but their photo is on LinkedIn.
