That's crazy. Their academic index would be in the basement. They normally want recruited athlete at ivy to have at least a 1350+ SAT score because there is nothing preventing the athlete from dropping out of the team and the chances they have to drop out to study get higher with lower SAT scores. 3.0 and 1100 SAT at ivy? Geez, why would they do that? |
How do you know his SAT score was <1200? Also he got accepted to chicago as a transfer from UVA. |
But why did chicago take him with a <1200 SAT? Does the portal not care about SAT scores? |
And it's not about IVY, it's about a real D1 school UVA. |
This person is a gigantic liar. These type of scores were possible maybe 30 years ago |
| I am dealing with it with my 11 year old. I grew up playing sports. He has played every sport since 7. This year he wanted to join a travel league with that a couple of his friends played on. I absolutely hate it!! He plays games all day sat and we travel at least an hour every week. They add games and change schedules out of nowhere all the time. It has been 4 months and I just want it to end. I want my weekends back. I'm over it and will not give up my life for the next 5 years. It's the most annoying thing, and the parents...Jesus get a life |
Also when you’re an athletic recruit you ED to the one school where you commit. |
| Move to a small town. It is much less competitive than our large county-wide high school systems. |
Lazy loser procrastinator detected |
That's why the FBI case "Varsity Blues" was called a sting. Cause it hurts to talk about. |
If you are a great athlete - those are fine stats. Most of the rest of the team will maintain the average. Believe me. It's a bell curve. |
Fine but you don’t apply to several ivies plus Berkeley plus ucla as a recruited athlete to all. You commit to one and they give you the admissions support. You don’t get admissions support from the coach as a recruited athlete at multiple schools. |
