It’s also notable that the parents didn’t want to prosecute Michael. They wanted money for silence and when he denied it and refused, that’s when they went to authorities. Those parents were looking for a shakedown. Hundreds of kids and their parents spent the night at Neverland- both boys and girls so if he was really a pedophile, he should have had hundreds of victims not just these. 2 with extortionist parents. One of the kids claimed MJ gave him wine and pills numerous times while he was on chemo. Again, it seems like this would have came up during his frequent doctor visits and treatments and Michaels defense attorney was able to make that point |
The kids are right there in bed with him. Super weird my kids don’t share beds with their same aged friends. Why else would he want to do this? The explanations seem like huge reaches. |
Put your tiny hand in mine.... |
Do you make excuses for all child abusers that experienced childhood trauma or just MJ? |
I imagine some kids even as adults didn’t want to come forward because they are embarrassed, are not interested in going public or may not have realized what was going on. |
+1 This. In a nutshell. |
Most abusers have trauma and abuse in their own background. It’s not an excuse. |
He was weird and damaged, yes. But I also don’t think he was a pedophile. I think he had some sort of Peter Pan syndrome and felt safe with kids. He wanted to be a kid, and in some ways he was. He never had a childhood |
You know why op. |
Because he was never found guilty |
Michaels Bedroom at Neverland was the size of a McMansion, it was a 2 storey suite and his bed was like 10 feet by 16 feet or something and there were several smaller beds and pull out cots around that room. He said sometimes his kids and others would sleep on his bed and he would sleep on the floor because it felt better for his back pain. He grew up sharing a bed with 4-5 brothers and his dad, and his mom and sisters in the other bedroom so he didn’t see sharing a bed as strange. His only fun times as a kid was playing with his brothers and sisters. He had severe insomnia issues that eventually killed him using powerful anasthesia for 60 straight days to sleep (Propofol). Some people have sex addictions because they can’t handle sleeping alone. That wasn’t his thing. He liked to have sleepovers. Was this a terrible idea? Yes. But Michael was convinced he wanted to live as a child not an adult |
I admit I haven’t read this yet, but Macaulay Culkin (from Home Alone) who was very close to Michael Jackson, has defended him for 30 years:

His father actually warned MJ to stop bringing all those random kids to his house and give him and his brothers some money instead. I think this made MJ double down on the Neverland and kid stuff because his father hated that MJ wasted so much money on a stupid amusement park. MJ hated his father so much |
After he was declared innocent in the 2005 trial , he made up with his father and admitted his dad was right.
|
The rest of the family including his mom were scared of confronting MJ and pissing him off and getting cut off but his dad was the only one who told him the truth about the ridiculous surgeries, bleaching, and amusement park. |
